A great video! Everything said is completely true. I've been walking for around 2 years now, from 63kg to 52kg and I would like to share some important details aswell. If you're a total beginner, start from 7k steps, then gradually push towards 10k. If you immediately start from a large number, you will be tired and much more likely drop the plan. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience. Once you hit 10k, you're basically halfway done. Its incredibly easy to maintain 10k steps a day and if you're starting to find it easy for your body, but still want to lose more fat, hit 15k. 15k, in my opinion, is the best amount of steps to walk. Your abdomen is guaranteed to slim down if you walk 15k even like, 3 times a week.

Some tips!
1. Wear comfortable shoes. This is VERY important. Blisters are real, and they suck. I used to walk in slippers in the beginning and trust me, it is NOT a good idea.

2. Keep your head and shoulders straight. This is a major confidence booster and if you're struggling with posture issues, then this is a life saver! Fixed my humpneck.

3. Drink water and EAT. You're working hard, drinking tons of water is a MUST. And I wouldn't recommend extreme dieting, just eating smaller portions is perfectly fine (that's what I did). Atleast get 2litres+ water and 3 meals a day. (Though avoid chips and all that)

4. If you're not that motivated, you'll lose interest quickly, so I recommend listening to music while walking, it helped me alot!

I've lost 30 lbs in the last 7 months basically just walking 10K steps a day and swimming, along with being in a caloric deficit.

Consistency beats nothingness~

Every little small change adds up eventually. Walking 8000-10000 steps for ten days, meaning steps, will do way more wonders than nothing.

I’ve been doing this, walking at a good pace and trying to go over 8, 000 steps per day. At my weight I burn 630 calories from a 4.4 mile walk. The other day I walked 11k and burned 800!

Im down 22 lbs in 2 1/2 months by walking 5 miles 6 days a week, eating 3 eggs in a tortilla in the am and extra greek yogurt with fruit for lunch and a light to no dinner. I'm going to see how far I can go.

Alex hi, just found your channel. I need a new starting point. I've lost 50 lb in the past. Low carbs. I know how to do it. I just can't find the willpower for it. I enjoy restaurant eating and cocktails too much. I know how to do the science, I have to overcome the habitat and addiction. A little bit of alcoholism, and gluttony /poor eating habits. I keep saying tomorrow I'm going to start. But I keep going to the bar and ordering whatever I want. I don't eat all day except for a cup of coffee. Looking forward to going to the bars having cocktails and ordering dinner. I go to sleep feeling like s*** every night and waking up worse. I don't get really drunk or grossly overeat. It's just a cumulative effect of the bad habits.

I'm currently in a weight loss program with my local health system. I have been steadily losing weight for 3 months now by eating a low carb, high protein unrestricted diet and walking. The exercise coach I work with told me one thing: move your body. Just move it.
