I walk on the treadmill every night 5 days a week for an hr on 3 or 4mph increasing the incline. I lost 20lbs in 3 months. I'm also on a plant base diet. 20 more lbs to go!

I walk 3 miles a day, usually about 50 minutes and 4-5 times a week. I've lost 40 pounds in 5 months. I sweat more on a treadmill than outside, because wind usually keeps me cooler. I disagree with having to walk on a treadmill for 2 hours a day. This is a caloric based argument. I have lost over 100 pounds total using a treadmill and sometimes walking outside. If you have over 40-50 pounds to lose walking on a treadmill's benefits outweigh the disadvantages. IMHO.

I have been walking 15 miles a day on speed 3.3 on a 2% incline. I have read a lot of info lately that long distance running is bad for your heart but long distance walking is much healthier for you as humans are ideally designed for long distance walking. It Absolutely works. I have restricted my calorie intake very little but have gone from a 38-40 waist to a 34 waist in less than 3 weeks. I do average about 60 miles a week. That is 15 miles 4 hours a day 5 days a week. If you get up a little earlier you can do 7.5 miles before work and then 7.5 miles in the evening. I swear this works great and you will feel great. Do not deprive yourself of eating sensibly and you will see results quickly. Just do it= Results

I burned 600 calories on the treadmill after 1 hour and 40 minutes. Running, speed walking and just walking.

I typically walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes four or five days a week. My routine is 3-4 minutes at a 15 incline varying between 3.7-4.0 then lower the incline to 3.5 and walk at a speed of 4.5-4.8.

I am recovering from CABGx4. I am now walking again on the tready. So far I am at 3 incline and 2 speed for 1 hour everyday. I am now fitting into clothes I couldn't at beginning of year!. I think my heart disease caused me to stay away from my tready! I didn't know why I didn't want to get on it anymore! Now I am back and loving it! I started gaining weight and didn't know why! One day I was short of breath walking in my driveway and knew that something was not right! My PCP saved my life!!! The tready has brought my health back! At one time I walked 2 hrs at 2.3 speed at max incline! I was so healthy then and then

Hey, I have a stupid question when they say two hours a day they literally mean to stay on it for two hours at a time or are they breaking it up into like 20 or 30 minute intervals?

2 hours a day?!?! Gtfo just 2-3 mile a day (powerwalk/jog/sprint and that’s if you don’t go to the gym or workout regularly ) or every other day (if you do go to the gym or workout regularly) then you should be good.

Here's what has been working for me. After Christmas at 6'-1" I was approaching 195 lbs and couldn't reach my shoes to tie the laces so had to do something. It was all belly fat with bones everywhere else. I do fasting treadmill 1 hr a day @ 3.6mph watching Netflix. On weekends I walk hungry right out of bed. On weekdays after work with 7 hours since lunch. I walk level right now but plan to elevate. Starting Jan 8 until today with one week gap for a trip in there I've lost 20 lbs. I am not dieting in the caloric restriction sense and am not hungry. I did cut out bacon, sausage, candy, soda and high fat milk. I watch fat content of all foods and focus on protein. I have reduced carbs in favor of protein. My goal is to reach around 170 and maintain it. I lift weights 2x a week as well. I have a fan blowing directly on me while walking. I don't know if a fan helps burn calories but it might. I couldn't treadmill at a fitness club because of the heat. At least my experience hasn't required 2 hrs a day but it has been a lot of work so hit it everyday and stay at it. I think a lot of people start and stop over and over and cannot maintain the burn rate.

I live in Thailand where it's too hot during the day to walk outside, so I have to wait until the evening time to walk. Anyway, I have decided to buy a treadmill and do three 20-minute walks a day indoors with my air conditioner on. I was thinking of one walk in the morning another in the mid afternoon, and another in the evening. Maybe then I will be able to shed some of my unwanted blubber.

Just run as fast and comfortable as you can I run 2 miles in about 18 minutes but I use some minutes to warm up and cool down just so I'm not sore the next day I burn around 200+

I only weigh about 110 pounds but I'm trying to lose some fat in my thighs so I've been walking every day at a fast walking speed on my tread mill for about an hour each day this past week and I think it's perfect for me

I've been using the treadmill daily for the past 2 months. Each day I do
30 minutes of walking at a speed of 3 miles per hour. And every two
weeks or so I raise the incline. I'm now at an incline of 6. I have no
idea what that means but after 30 minutes I'm just over 400 vertical
feet.
I've also been doing a better job of controlling what I eat. No soda, no
pizza... that kind of thing.
I check my weight every 2 weeks.
I'm feeling pretty discouraged though because every two weeks my weight
loss has gotten significantly less... 10 pounds lost, then 7, then 4 and
on my weigh in on March 1st it was 2 pounds. :(
I'm exercising more, upping the incline to keep challenging my body and I
weigh 326 pounds now so I'd think I'm burning a lot of energy by doing
this daily. My calf muscles look great, my thighs are getting a nice
lean tone to them but the weight loss is really slowed down.
And I'm also still watching what I've been eating.
This is what upsets me about exercise... It seems like even when I'm
actually doing my best and sticking to it my body fights back and
refuses to drop weight.
Also, I'm a 38 year old male.
I also do the drinking lemon water daily as well...
I won't give up because I feel stronger but I am really depressed I'm
not looking healthier.
