I had a home sleep study which determined i was 1 number into the mild sleep apnoea category. Not necessary for a cpap unless i wanted one. I let it go. New doctor insisted i go overnight for a study to be done. Dont see what difference it makes except to line the doctors pockets. No doubt they will insist on a cpap machine. I have a friend with a brand new machine so will buy theirs instead.

The automatic assumption is that Bob's problem is caused by sleep apnea, but most cases of insomnia aren't. The video doesn't mention other causes and treatments so it left me somewhat informed but totally unsatisfied.

b/c of the cagey nature of sleep centers i never got a sleep study or even met with a sleep doc. i didnt understand or know anything at all about a sleep study and it would have been a waste of money b/c i dont have obstructive sleep apnea. instead i bought a device that monitors my heart rate and o2 levels then vibrates if i fall under a certain number to encourage me to breathe, its not perfect solution but cost less than a single sleep doctor visit with insurance. its almost like the video here is deceptive and its only to make people feel comfortable with idea of owning a cpap machine not to truly inform or educate people on what really happens at a sleep study - seems super shady
