Used custom orthotics for the better part of 15 years. It only but a bandaid on the problem. Started running and working in barefoot/wise toe box shoes as well as foot and leg stretches. Within a year I developed an arch. It was a long presses but well worth it.

Damn. Finally! Thank you for the exercises and amazing information. All the other videos that I’ve watched weren’t very instructive or genuine.

I am curious about one thing: Why would you recommend arch supporters? Wouldn't that make the arch muscles dependent on the support and thereby weaken them?

If u suffer from ankle pain from having flat feet, orthotics do help a bit, but if u stand for prolonged periods like I do as a RN, then u will need Dit Da Jow (Chinese liniment). You rub it into your foot and ankle and it relieves the pain within minutes. I’m contemplating surgery

Also if you are noticing pulling to one side or the other while driving your car, a chiropractor would recommend instead of checking the air in your car tires first, call for an appointment at your local chiropractor.

I’ve heard walking or running barefoot in sand really helps.

Orthotics do NOT help fallen arches! I have Custom-made orthotics and they do NOT! In fact, that is what drove me to YT to search for other solutions here, because CUSTOM orthotics are NOT helping!

Your comments were appreciated except that of custom orthotics. i have had five pairs and they all caused more foot problems—arch pain, sprained ankle, etc.

Note; Orthotics will not help to strengthen your arches, similar to a back brace, as they take their role in keeping your foot in alignment. They should only be used when you NEED your foot aligned, such as during sport or weightlifting. At other times, keep a conscious effort in keeping your arch active when standing and moving

I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis for mounths! I resherched what was happening, and started exercizing my arched. I got impatient and walked on my toes for two days. aproximently 20 miles total. I now have arches without pain! two days! are we supposed to walk on the balls of our feet?!

Thanks so much for this video. I have one question though. If your knee is paining could you still go ahead and do these exercises? I've seen other exercises where you can sit down to do them. I was just wondering.

Thank you so much for this video. My foot already feels better. Now can you advise me whether I should see a podiatrist or a chiro? Can you suggest someone that would know how to manipulate the foot and ankle in Houston, tx area? Thanks again!

Some months ago I was fitted for custom orthotics. They have helped correct pronation of both feet, particularly severe pronation of left foot.
Now I am experiencing something that I do not know the name of, habitual leaning forward when standing, instead of placing weight on heels.
Is it because of the orthotics, or us it something I have always been doing but have become aware of only recently?

So what should you do if you've always had flat feet? I go entirely unbothered in life but I sometimes have a weird walk and I cannot wear arched shoes without dealing with pain. Will this ever truly bother me later in life? I'm only 17 years old.
