Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that can cause pain and discomfort in the feet. While there are several treatment options available, it's important to be careful when massaging the heel. In fact, massaging the heel can sometimes make the condition worse.

Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes, becomes inflamed. This inflammation can cause pain and discomfort, especially when standing or walking for long periods of time. While massage can be a helpful tool for reducing inflammation and promoting healing, it's important to be careful when massaging the heel.

The problem with massaging the heel when treating plantar fasciitis is that it can actually exacerbate the condition. When you massage the heel, you are putting pressure on the plantar fascia, which can cause further inflammation and irritation. This can make the pain and discomfort associated with plantar fasciitis even worse.

I had plantar fasciitis in both feet All I did to fix my problem was grab the roller rolled out my calves and stretch my calves by putting my foot up against the wall and leaning towards the wall to stretch my calves did that about twice a day during work and once in the morning before leaving for work and my problem went away been years without it

I worked commercial construction and walking on concrete as a chubby guy ended up with plantar fasciitis.
I fixed it by stretching my calf muscles, Achilles tendon and plantar fascia.
Steps, curbs or anyplace I could hang my heels from was where I’d stop and stretch for a few minutes every chance I got. Let your heels hang with the fronts of your feet on the step or curb. Make sure to hold a railing or something to stabilize yourself.
This will hurt a lot, but it stretches all of those tendons. Big calves from being heavy and walking a lot causes this.
Sadly doctors want you to do unnecessary things to line their pockets.

Actually the meridian that relax the sciatic nerve starts there. If you press they will feel sore and it’s very good!
