A dermatologist’s favorite options for dry and itchy skin! Regular unscented Vaseline, La Roche-Posay moisturizer, and Cerave itch relief are all great options to try for dry, itchy, irritated skin!

Dry skin may just be the problem, but most of the time there is an underlying condition that is causing the dryness. Like eczema causes dry skin, but eczema isn't just dry skin. If it were, most moisturizers would cure it, and it doesn't. I suffer from eczema in the ears, and use a product called Bee Magic, when nothing else worked. I've had some success with A&D Ointment with Zinc, which soothes the itching and burning, but so does Bee Magic. Don't touch your skin with unwashed hands, as the salt on your hands from sweat or food will aggravate it no end. Buy some cheap disposable gloves to apply ointments, and if you need to rub or scratch. Keep your hands spotless because you can get skin infections from them. The bacteria under the nails can make a terrible infection, even if your hands are clean.

Can you tell me what i should use?I Have Really Bad Dandruff And Skin Rashes in my neck, legs and hands and chest.. really dry skin ..the bad dandruff has come up to my forehead and it always irratating..in summer, I really can't handle it..i used a lot of medicines my doctors prescribed within 6 years of my starting to skin problems but they don't work..but the medicines also cause me to become sick..can you suggest me some rash medicine? it's really irratating and itchy ....

I have low thyroid & that causes my skin to dry. I use petroleum jelly to keep my skin moisturized at night. It also helps to drink ur required daily amount of water.

I had bad dandruff that caused the sides of my gmface nearest to the hair got irritated from scratching. It went dry and turned to a different color than the rest of my forehead. I just recently used petroleum i hope it heals

I know it’s not a permanent solution but I swear by this I have found that weed helps, my skin stays relaxed and calmer for muuuch longer, at times I do feel some itch coming on not nearly as intense but I take a little hit of my pen or actual weed and my itching irritation goes from about a 8/9 to a 4 or 5 in some cases it just stopped. I definitely prepare though lotions, baby oil out of the shower is the game changer tho

vaseline and cerave are the best! i started using them back when i was very very young ( like REALLY young ) because i have always had dry sensitive skin. it doesn’t work for everybody, but it does for me :)
