it’s Kia from Hairitage93 and a short time ago, I had to get my nails together and since cutting them, I’ve been documenting how the nail growing journey has been. In the first update I did a few videos back, I let you guys know about how forgetting to wear gloves when using harsh chemicals did some damage to my nails and how a quick castor oil treatment helped save the day.

Once I stopped soaking my nails and stopped using nail clippers and buffing blocks, and started using 240+ grit / crystal nail files and jojoba oil, I’ve had no splitting. Only one nail has peeled in the last 12 months.

Don't quote me because I did like 1 day on my nail course and once they told me I would have to do other people's feet I knew that class wasn't for me lol but I think filing your nails in both directions encourages splitting. Just file in one direction, left to right or right to left, whichever is easier for you but stick to 1 direction on each nail. That was pretty much all I learnt in that 1 day!

I usually soak my nails in salt and oil and water, always keep nail polish on, and don’t bite them. They usually stay pretty healthy

I do a spa day once a week.10 days... Facial mud mask, teeth whitening with strips, dry skin removal from heels and moisturizer, hair mask, now I'm adding. I've got castor that was too think for my hair I can start using. Thanks👍🏽
