To get your sms gateway, send a text message on your phone to your email address. The from address on your email is your phone number and SMS gateway.

If you’re on M365 (I.e. not the free email servers) then you can set up a flow in PowerAutomate to send you a push notification when you get an email from a certain person.

Delayed send is one of those features that seems to be primarily used to get people in trouble. Schedule an important email to be sent late at night so you can tell the recipient’s boss you “emailed them about it yesterday”. A project manager pulled that one on me, fortunately I managed to catch him out and that was one of the factors in his contract being terminated.

FindTime is a brilliant idea, unfortunately using it generally results in lots of emails back saying “I don’t know how this works” and “But when is the meeting”, if people do bother to vote three people given a choice of 4 times will all pick one time and it will be different from any of the others. It also depends on everyone keeping their calendars up to date, which a lot of people don’t.

Smart technology will always be defeated by deliberately dumb people.

For tip no 3: As far as I know „send later“ is a function of Outlook and not executed by the mail server. When you shut down your PC or „standby“ before the mail was send it will be send next time you start your Outlook.

When you use delay delivery so the email you wrote past your office hours will get send the next morning, during office hours so your colleague’s don’t think you work longer than you should 😅🇳🇱
