Boost Metabolism and Reduce Pain with Cayenne Pepper!- Thomas DeLauer

Cayenne Pepper and Substance-P Effects on Inflammation and Brain:
1. For the past 9,000 years, Native Americans have employed cayenne pepper as both a food and medicine
2. Cayenne pepper has powerful pain-relieving properties when applied topically
3. The active ingredient in cayenne pepper is capsaicin
4. Capsaicin stimulates nerve endings so they release a receptor chemical, substance P, that transmits pain signals to the brain
5. When a nerve ending has released all of its substance P reserves, pain signals are no longer sent to the brain until substance P has been replenished
6. The result is pain relief for chronic conditions such as: arthritis, bursitis, psoriasis, shingles, joint and muscle pain, post-surgery pain, pain due to nerve damage caused by diabetic neuropathy, and low back pain.
7. Capsaicin as a natural pain reliever does not pose the risks associated with common NSAIDs and other pain-relieving drugs
8. Apply capsaicin in small doses and do not overuse
9. Cautions: avoid getting capsaicin in or near the eyes, nose or open wounds. Do not use capsaicin with a hot pad or immediately before or after a hot shower.
10. “In one study, a man with persistent pain due to wounds from a bomb explosion experienced an 80 percent reduction in pain symptoms after using a capsaicin (8 percent, known as high concentration) patch.”
11. Capsaicin is like the laser technology of herbs. Just as a laser can either cut through steel or perform the most delicate eye surgery, so this fiery pepper can either inflict pain or relieve it. As capsaicin interacts with nerve endings, initially it produces pain, but quickly depletes the substance P, so that the brain no longer receives the message of pain. The result is pain relief.

So whether you’re dealing with joint and muscle pain after a hard workout at the gym, or agonizing over the pain of arthritis, a medical procedure, or even shingles, capsaicin applied as a cream or a patch can offer you relief.

Taken internally, capsaicin can: improve circulation, boost your immune system, aid your digestive process, treat migraines, and even provide relief from ulcers. Interestingly, however, studies have shown that capsaicin is more effective when eaten as opposed to swallowed as a capsule. The fiery sensation in the mouth appears to be an important precursor to the pain relief you can expect as this wonder herb travels through your intestinal tract and bloodstream.

It's really good for cramps, too! When I'm about to start my period I start drinking water mixed with Cayenne pepper, lemon juice and maple syrup.

This is my third day adding cayenne pepper, sprinkle in my food and also drinking apple cider vinegar in the morning I was 210 four days ago now I weight 203 . I’m not as hungry either which is good

I've just added this to my regimen. I've already been using turmeric for arthritis as well as CBD 2, 000 mg. I'm 66 and I don't like prescription drugs because they have side effects. I also make my own chaga tincher which is a super antioxidant. The chaga also controls my hypertension.

I take 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper daily and sprinkle it on my food. It did wonders on my metabolism and it did reduce a lot of my joint pains.

Aside from pain, your heart loves it. its great for your cardiovascular system, and dilates your arteries and veins. if you get skipping beats, or pvc's like I had, or any kind of irregular heart beat, you really should try some mixed in water or juice, It got rid of mine. it's also great for relieving stress in the upper thoratic area where it can feel like your heart but usually just anxiety.

I once had just about the worst inner mouth cold sore/kanker sore of my entire life. My girlfriend and I went to a Chinese place to eat dinner and I (without thinking) ordered something absolutely smothered in pepper. After a few minutes of unbearable pain, it suddenly and completely vanished. It literally felt as though the sore had “fallen off” if that makes sense.

For two mornings now, I’ve upped my dosage of cayenne pepper to 1 oz of extra virgin olive oil, juice from half a lemon and a dash of Himalayan salt on an empty stomach. Knock it back! Great information. I’m learning a lot about cayenne pepper, and recently ordered an old book “Back To Eden, ” which apparently has a lot of information about this wonderful spice. I can’t wait to loose some pounds. Thanks for sharing.

Cayenne added to one meal a day certainly keeps everything moving along. No worries about constipation or hemorrhoids. Only problem is the urge to go will be sudden and urgent so important to carefully plan when to use it. Can make you go randomly between 3-12 hours after the spice is ingested so maybe right after work is good time to ingest and you'll hopefully end up going before bedtime and hopefully not waking you up at 4am to go.

I had fixed some back issues I was having though will occassionally get lower back pain where i can't turn or bend. I first start with some extensive stretching which helps with a decent amount of the pain, i then take cayenne pepper, since I can handle the heat i just dump a decent sized piled in my hand, take it to the head and let it sit in my mouth for a while to absorb (about 2 mins), i then drink it down with water or lemon water. Within 15 minutes I'll realize Im not having the pain. It is temporary because its mainly a matter of me improving my posture but the cayenne definitely helps.

I guess that why i'am so fit, lean, and mean. I should be rolling in fat as much as i eat. I eat as much as i want, any thing i want, and any time i want. I eat a lot of cayenne peppers every day, i dry them out and grind them into flakes or powder. I put it on about EVERY THING I cant have breakfast with some cayenne on my hash browns, French Fries, eggs and things YUMMY its the favor and mild heat that i crave
