Ascorbic acid is a component of vitamin C, and works well as a vitamin C supplement, but for full vitamin C with better absorption you should seek out supplements that are made with natural sources. (not agreeing with the sentiment of ascorbic acid "not being vitamin c", it is, just a mass-produced synthetic form)

Wrong! Ascorbic acid has ZERO vitamin C in it! What you want to take is Ascorbate vitamin C (fully buffered) preferably.

No it's not. Synthetic vitamins made in a lab are not identical, the molecular structures may be similar, enough so that our cells attempts to accept them but what they actually do is confuses the receptors and blocks the absorbsion of natural vitamins.
It's a bit like sugar and vitamin c having almost identical molecules, the sugar floods the receptors and vitamin c doesn't get a look in, or very little.
Anyone wanting vitamin c boost, just have a spoon of sauerkraut and avoid cheap vitamins
Personally, I eat entirely meat eggs and dairy and I get enough of everything through that

No you are incorrect. Dr berg also makes a similar statement to this lady. It’s not a complete compound. The real thing is from a food which contains the real structure.
