Dr. Linus Pauling was a big proponent of Vitamin C to prevent illness. I spoke with him during my undergraduate Chemistry degree.

I'm a vegan, will be 80 this year. I take a few supplements but not Vitamin C and pay close attention to anti-oxidant/free radical dynamic. I eat a lot of fresh fruits and veg - make it a point to eat vitamin C foods same meal as iron-rich foods (green leaves) to help assimilation of non-heme iron. I'll keep an eye on my yearly blood work for Vitamin C level as I get older. Thanks Docs.

YOU Docs should get the peace prize for your service to humanity and being quite funny and nerding out when you have to and yet you are the coolest. Thanks for your channel. I take VC every day.

The orange juice lady was Anita Bryant. I remember those commercials. I’m 73 so I guess I’m in the same lane as Dr. Z. Yes, I take vitamin C everyday. Thanks guys.

I take Vitamin C every day as prescribed by my urologist. And, Anita Bryant was a singer in the 1950's, 1960's, as well as a promoter of Minute Maid orange juice concentrate.

Haven’t had a cold since 2017. I don’t take a vitamin C supplement but I love me an OJ in the morning. 💪
Keep up the great work Docs! Greetings from Chicago. 💕

Today's episode felt like a father and son presentation, Dr. W was looking pretty uppity and Dr. Z had to lay down the law. Great show, always have great info and I recommend your channel all the time.

Several of my friends call me 'limey' but I take no offense. I am proud that my ancestors were the first to put two and two together and come up with the solution. I am an open ocean sailor too. From a Limey in Hawaii. Aloha (with a cockney accent) Love your shows, thank you.

Vitamin C helps with the absorption of iron for those who are iron deficient.

Yes, Anita Bryant and Florida. So many commercials “ breakfast without orange juice is like a day without sunshine”. Totally the ‘70s!

I agree with what you two stated. I don't think it's super beneficial to take Vitamin C but why not take it. No harm done.

Me and the old man eat tons of citrus. I'm single handedly keeping orange farmers in business 😂
