Episode 1 : Introduction to the Conscious Breath


In this first live class you will learn three, simple techniques to deepen, elongate, and expand your breathing capacities. These are entryway practices into greater control over your nervous system, moods, and energy levels, based on ancient techniques from Yoga. All levels are welcome.

Eddie Stern has been practicing and teaching Yoga for over thirty years. He has been studying with masters in India since 1988, engages in scientific research on Yoga, runs yoga and meditation programs to help reduce gun-violence in inner cities, is an author, and teaches daily yoga classes online. Eddie has been collaborating with Deepak Chopra since 2011, and his earlier video series on the Chopra Well is "Urban Yogis”.

06.53 june1st 2024. Thankyou for this. I am/was an astanga practitioner, been teaching yoga for nearly 30 years, and have two studios for twenty years. Five years ago i suffered crippling pain, and could barely walk, let alone teach, but as i teach much therapy, i continued and taught online.
I felt much shame, because i could no longer practice as i wished. What a learning i have been through. Thankyou for saying if you are bed bound, as i teach many bed bound students, and sometimes i am too.
Everyday i slowly am re made, I learn something new about bodies in the universe, other and our body.
I am so grateful for my pain, it has taught me much.
Listening to someone teach when i am on my own at our retreat, soothes my soul.
Its like i can bring my father and grandfather back into the room when i was small guiding my breath, as i was taught pranayama for my asthma.

Thank you to Eddie & Chopra for offering & keeping these precious breathing sessions on UTube long after live sessions. Persuaded my husband w v high blood pressure reading, to do yr first session. Level fell from 174 down to 136 after this first breathing session on 4 Nov 2023. Namaste
