My dad showed me your channel when I had totally lost direction, but I wasn't able to listen at that time. Later revisited your videos and I cannot say how much they've helped. Not just me, but for others, like my father, to understand as well.

You are very blessed. My son has schizophrenia and he doesn't have insight into his illness. When I notice that something is off and try to talk him into talking to his doctor, he doesn't listen. He usually ends up in the hospital. Its been 10 years now. I pray that he has insight into his illness at some point.

as someone who now shares a very similar diagnosis as yours I have to say that (on the days that i can) watching your videos is super duper helpful and has given me a weird sense that Im not alone in this.
i apologize but sometimes (more than I like to admit) i cant digest the longer videos like 15-20 mins but these short videos i could binge all day i dont understand why but thank you for making both so that we have a chance to catch this content wherever we are in our head
Just, thanks, all around.

My 30 year old daughter who is schizoaffective has command hallucinations, usually a med adjustment problem, but there is a lead-up to them. I've tried to exhort her to recognize when her meds aren't just right and get help before they cause her trouble but she can't seem to be able to do it. Her first psychotic break down was 13 years ago this month with many hospitalizations, institutionalizations, and group homes. Up and down, up and down year after year. She has done well enough to live on her own only to fall apart again. My fear is that she will eventually be put in the kind of institution where she doesn't want to be and can't easily get out.

Thank you for educating the public. There are too many stigmas when it comes to mental health.
God Bless you for being so strong

I don't experience hallucinations but I am autistic and do at times experience crippling existential dread and low self esteem. I think its important to be kind and patient with yourself when you're mentally unwell. A better night's sleep can make a world of difference. Watching your videos and hearing how you manage your difficulties is really helpful and encouraging.

I'd totally understand if you don't want to share these details but I'd love to know what the voices are saying exactly and how you feel when they command you. Do you experience it as coming from outside yourself? In the moment, who do you feel is speaking to you? Do you feel threatened by it or do you trust it? What compels you to obey it, and what does it feel like to resist?

You have great insight. How long did it take for you to be able to accept your diagnosis? Did you have a period of denial?

Thank you for coming forward with your diagnosis & life challenges. My father was diagnosed schizophrenic back in 1966. He had hallucinations... Was NOT a kind man. I think he was narcissist too.
