Looking it up online is so confusing. I’ve seen 10 articles that say salmon is good because of vitamin D and 10 that say salmon is bad because of iodine.

Oops, it's Graves' -- not Grave's

I knew caffeine had something to do with symptoms getting worse. I’m glad it wasn’t in my head. I stopped coffee last week and have been feeling SOOO much better

I use to be a coffee fiend. Stopped 5 years ago drinking coffee. It cut my symptoms by half. Just do it.

I find green tea activates my thyroid more than coffee..and raw cacao in excess defiantly stimulates thyroid gland.. in small amounts few times a week..I think the thyroid can remain calm..but choosing between these options rather than all of them in the same day or week!

I drink coffee all the time but I've never had much of a response from it when I didn't like it wouldn't give me more energy or anything and it still gives me zero symptoms my heart rate doesn't even get faster

I knew how caffeine and some decafs never seemed to wear off. I knew that I couldn’t handle epinephrine at all. But I never knew until today the stress that I was putting on my liver . I’ve asked dozens of doctors why coffee affects me differently. All shrugged their shoulders and said I guess you’re just sensitive . No one suggested that I lay off my liver every day for the last 30 years.
I thought buying Swiss water methods ( hydro filtered)decaf was going to do the trick. Now I get it’s the liver overstimulation that’s the issue.
Ps green tea is like cocaine or crack effects. It makes me feel horrible and many recommend for hyperthyroidism. Green tea is worse than black tea and decaf coffee in terms of nervous overstimulation. Great for everyone else I’m sure.

Thank you for making it simple and plain. I am a two cups of tea/ matcha/ Yerba Mate type of chic and you are the first person to make the connection between caffeine and Graves’ disease. Go figure. 🤔
