It amazes me that they are legally allowed to poison our food supply for profit. My wife & I are eliminating seed oils from our diet, & it cuts SO MUCH of the foods we grew up with. I feel so guilty as a father when I see my kids eating chips, goldfish, etc. Trying to get the grandparents on board is a chore!

When I was a kid, I remember my grandmothers and my mom when cooking they would add a pinch of salt to any sweet dishes. I never asked why they did that, but I grew up doing the same thing to the food I cooked. Now I understand! Salt balances everything. Now, it makes sense.
And BTW, I remember the salt they used was so pure that it was in a rock form that we had to smash before we used it.
You are so right! Food should be simple!
