Today on, DRY CLEANER REVIEWING AT HOME LAUNDRY DETERGENT RECIPE: a Sal’s Suds and washing soda combination.

Overall I have very little issue with the recipe besides combining it. You gain nothing besides wasted time, energy, and a cute glass jar by combining them. Both of these products are very solid at cleaning and filled with safe ingredient but they dont need to be mixed. Plus the hot water does nothing for you besides dilute it making it harder to dose.

Just add your Sal’s Suds to the detergent slot like you normally would and a 1/4 cup of washing soda to the drum before loading clothes, it’s as simple as that.

Feel free to DM me any DIY recipes you’d like me to look at if you see them!

“Just keep it simple” works wonders :)

Thanks for pointing this out. Any recipe that includes water introduces the possibility of bacterial growth.

EWG is such a bad source when it comes to toxicity. Scientist have been lamenting them for years with how much misinformation they spread 🙁

I’ve made my own laundry detergent using Dr. bronner’s Castile soap and washing soda. The recipe called for a bunch of water so I decided to cut out as much water as possible and keep a concentrated version in an old yogurt tub. Used a tablespoon of that in a load. Worked well, never did it again.
Next time I get into an all natural everything mood I’ll just do what Jeeves advises. It’s not that complicated.

I use Sal Suds in everything! I had a lady come clean my kitchen and she was surprised at how easily it cleaned. I also used to scrub my grout. To disinfect and drags or brushes I use for cleaning I love mixing sal suds, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. I don’t even bother adding hot water. This will also helps whiten them and it does help a lot if you let product sit in this solution for like two days.

I just found out about the laundress recall from this short. I still have a bottle of their fabric freshener spray bough like 4 months before the recall. Looks like I may be getting my $17 back

Can you cover detergents and such that are used for people that have skin allergies and sensitivity? And what it means for a product to be “non-toxic”?

Hi Mr. Jeeves, what would be the benefits to using the washing soda or Dr. Bonner's sal suds? Does the washing soda work similar to powdered hydrogen bleach?

Is there a fix for white polyester that grays over time?

Do you just pour the detergent on top if you don't have a detergent slot to put the soap in? I've never in my life had a washer with a detergent slot.. I've seen them with a fabric softener slot

Hi! How can I remove red stains on white clothes caused by using bleach on them? :(

I love Dr B's Sal Suds, and I use it for everything. Except laundry. It doesn't work that well for me, maybe our water is to blame.

How do I make stinky clothes not stink? They were stored for years and smell like it.
