The fact that being an INFJ makes me different is the reason I keep to myself and am a loner. I'm friendly at work, but keep everyone at arm's length because if they knew I believed in a bunch of ufo stuff and paranormal stuff and am a peace activist, I'm afraid they might think I was strange.

I’m a loner & I love it! I love my own company and I love showing up by myself, people can’t understand me so why try so hard, I have stopped caring about friendships. Too much work and I get nothing out of it. People’s minds are too predictable, they get stuck in problems I don’t care to associate with, everything is a choice. My choice is happiness and I don’t need anything conflicting with that.

These skills will for sure make people stick around at the start but yes once the INFJ appears to know too much or starts to show who they really are, people might back off. And to be honest, those people backing off is for the INFJ's good at the end.

It just dawned on me. Perhaps, as INFJs, we assimilate / align with people to make them feel seen because we are so different and often feel unseen that the process of making them feel seen serves both the function of allowing us (as othered INFJs) to connect and for them to feel special.

As I have began to accept that I am different and embrace the power of that, this has allowed me to show up more authentically and allowed me to give others the space to show up as they are in that moment – not as the potential I see in them.

This hasn’t changed the fact that I still see their potential; it has just changed my perspective on that potential – to know that I can reflect that potential to them for them to embrace and grow towards, but I do so with no expectations that this will happen. I remove expectations and exchange it for observation. I reflect small nuggets of their value to them, and then I wait and observe.

INFJ's need to *choose* *themselves* and take the risk of being rejected more often - the people that stay around will not have the push/pull relationship with you anymore. Then the other friends will not expect you to be a savior nor enabler but will expect the same thing in you.

As an infj, i have started seeing people for who they are and for not who they could be coz it could hurt us infjs in the end, it's better to accept and see people for who they are and not for who they could be in the future. But this is such an amazing video full of beautiful insights ❤️

Do I feel like people stay stuck on me? Even if they don‘t like me? Yes. It's currently happening at my workplace. This video couldn't have come at a better time. It's spot on. The people who do this have some MAJOR control issues and enjoy being annoying. They seek conflict and do not care how unprofessional it is for them to be that way. I'm really not afraid of them. I just don't make the time for conflict when I have a mission to accomplish. So therefore, I have made myself small and not seen and heard any more than what is required from me. And I have limited who I speak with to those whom I know I can trust. Thank you for this video. It's encouraging.

I had this when I was younger. Either because people thought I was easy to pick on or as you said, I was apart or kept to myself. I tried to mix as a kid but it was rarely comfortable

Excellent video Wenzes! I do feel like some folks get stuck on me, on occasion. And growing up, I did always wonder why I was target of people messing with me, or bullying me, seemingly out of nowhere. I wasn't a "nerd" or anything like that, I played sports, and was damn good at them. But I also never really fit in with the other "jocks" and always got along with everyone in all the different cliques that formed our school's population. But the older I got, the more I realized that high school didn't matter, and I don't even associate with any of those people at all anymore, so it never really mattered in the first place. 🤷🏼

Past experiences of sensing levels in people that they don't want to see themselves unfortunately has lead to confrontation or at the very least, discomfort. And....if potential employers are threatened by this will NOT last at that job as they will make things difficult for you until you leave.
