5 Things People With Anxiety Secretly Do Alone

People experience anxiety in different ways. Your idea of how anxiety appears might not always align with how it presents itself. You may not notice traces of anxiety in someone who grapples with it internally and in private. To end the misconception and stigma, we made this video to raise awareness.

It is important to remember to always be kind, as you may never fully realize what others are struggling with when they are alone. If you are dealing with anxiety, know that you are not alone in facing these challenges.

Totally relate to all of them. My anxiety has led to depression. And has left me totally alone. I have no friends and even avoid family. I can't stop thinking about all my past mistakes. And yes people around me think I am just lazy and don't want to do anything. It hurts so much! And you see no way out or end to the isolation and dread.

It feels like a curse at times. Not being able to do something because of anxiety and then feeling left out or annoyed at yourself for not doing it. Plus overthinking makes you really tired but keeps you awake because you can't calm the thoughts. It's an uphill struggle every day but at least there are healthy ways to tackle it 😊

Psychedelics definitely have potential to deal with health issues like anxiety and depression, would like to try them but it's just hard to source out here.

I can relate totally to all of this. It is hard to explain this to people who love to socialise, I lose friends because i will avoid going out. I also struggle to keep up with tasks, people think you are lazy. Thank you for helping me and hopefully others to understand how difficult this can be to live with each day.

I can relate to all of these. And one thing that wasn't mentioned is when I force myself to go out and interact with other people, when it's over and I go home I will pick apart every single second of the interactions I had until I convince myself that I looked like a total loser and sounded stupid, and whoever I had the interaction with thinks the same about me. Even total strangers! It could just be an interaction with the cashier at the store which seemed pleasant at the time that sets me off. It's all very stressful and makes the anxiety worse. Does anyone else experience this?

Anxiety like this has turned into deep depression for me that I don’t feel like I can beat this time. Sleeping used to help, but I can’t do that anymore until a couple hours before I need to wake up. Then just wake up to the pain all over and push through the day till I can attempt to sleep again. Thanks, overthinking. You’re a real gem 🤦🏻‍♀️

Definitely can relate. Scary when you’re aware of these things and force yourself into getting out of these habits, but they kinda get worse

I suffered BPD and severe anxiety for over 8 years. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment actually saved my life. 4 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Tysm for teaching people about anxiety, I have a friend who never understood ocd (not diagnosed, but most likely have it) and it always hurt me, but now I can send this to help him understand how I feel <3

I think you followed me around and watched me without my knowing! I am 64 and have struggled with PTSD, depression, and anxiety throughout my lifetime. I have seen different counselors throughout my lifetime, but non long term, nor the same one. while I understood I had an anxiety problem, This video helped me realize how much it rules my life. Thank you for this video!

Man, I really do see a lot of myself in this. Huge overthinker, procrastinator, and I have a hard time leaving my comfort zone. I've been doing better lately, since I've been trying to be more aware of these things and making sure they don't get the better of me, but I definitely get how it feels

I wondered why, for 20+ years I would always rewatch the same shows (including childhood shows) over and over again. I knew I had GAD (generalized anxiety disorder), and now it all connects! Thank you for the heads up!

"Anxiety affects working memory" I wholeheartedly agree. I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and it's always surprising to me what I don't remember in the aftermath of an anxiety attack. Sometimes I'll even forget how to say words, respond in a face to face conversation in a timely manner, or process what someone has just said to me. It's really interesting but also really difficult if people don't understand that I'm anxious. I find myself lying and saying "I'm tired" a lot so I don't have to explain myself

I don't have a anxiety disorder, but I do relate to most of these. It's only been twice where it disrupted my daily routine, and it feels really scary. I hope anyone who relates to these can find peace. ♥

Woah. I didn't realise how damaging my anxiety is, now that I've watched the video I think I'll try to get help. Anyone else experiencing these symptoms, you're not alone. I feel you. When was the last time you ate? You are powerful and awesome, here's your crown ✨👑✨
