Narcissistic abuse looks like:

Lack of Empathy: Narcissists often show little to no empathy for others, making it easy for them to manipulate and exploit. Narcissists use various tactics such as gaslighting, love bombing, and devaluation to control and dominate their victims.

Common Tactics Used in Narcissistic Abuse:

Gaslighting: Making the victim doubt their own reality and sanity.
Love Bombing: Showering the victim with excessive attention and affection to gain control.

Devaluation: Undermining the victim’s self-worth through criticism, belittling, and emotional neglect.

Isolation: Cutting the victim off from their support systems to increase dependency on the abuser.

Triangulation: Using others to create jealousy or competition, keeping the victim feeling insecure.

I was raised by a narcissistic mother, the wounds and the pain it has caused me in my life is unexplainable. I am a mother now and still working through so much, trying to find healing. The abuse has caused many health issues and chronic pain. Trying to rid myself of self deprecating thought patterns and negative core beliefs is beyond challenging. I'm clinging to Jesus.

I see toxic people sooner and I have been able to let my empathic self walk away. I'm not up to dealing with these people. I'm better with walking away.

I know that this is completely true. B/c of my narcissistic abuse, I ran to Him. I started going back to Church and the first time in my life I found peace.

Literally happened to me. I was going to be homeless but was nice to a narcissist at work and they let me move in with them. Of course I paid rent(understandably.) The downside is I had NO freedom for the 2 years I lived with him I walked on eggshells for 2 years just to keep the peace. But during that period I was going inward and doing a lot of meditating. I was dropping any ego I felt was left in me. And then I moved out and my life has been working out beautifully. I have a much more powerful faith than ever before and see that everything has been happening for a reason.

You hang on to God like never before and he pulls you through, no man or woman can do that
the narc shows you real evil and you don't want to go there, yes a narc makes you stronger thank God not them.

Narcissists can be used to bring a person to repentance and salvation

My narc husband is a judge. Ugh!! I have not been more strong. God has healed my PTSD snd crushing anxiety. I am in the midst of leaving. If you stay, your boundaries have to be so tight in calling them out that you become like them. You cannot allow them to pull you away from the Lord.

I have had nothing but narcissistic abuse my whole life and I’m in my late fifties. My abusive parents are dead, but my narcissistic sister and her horrible husband have been trying to perpetuate it. I really hope God has something good in store for me someday because this has done nothing but exhaust me. I moved out of state years ago, but am now getting ready to go no contact. I pray that everyone here finds peace and happiness someday.

Absolutely true. I drew close to God as my marriage to a narcissist was ending. I'm closer to Jesus now than I've ever been!!

It seems like one major reason this is happening to me, is because I have never had clear boundaries…and I’m learning first-hand about things that I absolutely DO NOT want, exactly how I do not ever want to be treated by anyone! I must establish clear & healthy boundaries - basically if I don’t, I will lose my life…just like his ex did…

Through the abuse I tolerated with a BPD wife God showed me that I need Him and I do not need people. Idolatry of a spouse or anyone is going to lead to destruction. I thank God for the chaos of my past and the peace and wisdom He will give if you seek Him. Jesus is Lord.

Yes he does! my whole life is a story about how God used a Narc to prepare me to be a future vessel for him.

I was single new mom, living at parents house, vulnerable and trying to raise a kid as I was a kid. Narcissistic Frank came into my life and took me to Disney land. Promises, marriage, house, white picket fence. Then after years of not praying of believing anymore, the nar came out and destroyed me and my son. Fast forward 7 years now and Frank’s been married 5 going on 6 times. God is the only one who got me through.

I TOTALLY agree!! Because of his attempts to completely destroy me I became stronger and wiser and healthier everyday. Tomorrow when I wake up, I will be stronger and wiser and healthier still... looks like I won! Thank you, Jesus. You were with me every step of the way.

I was extremely naive, gullible & trusting until my relationship with my ex narc partner. My negative experience with him has open my eyes wide to the existence of such evil characters thus, threads carefully when desling with people!
