thanks, my day is saved. I was already panicking that I had to buy a new CPU because my monitor wouldn't turn on. Now everything is fine and works as it should👍

Thanks for the excellent, simple and clear tutorial. I have the ROG Strix X570-F board, upgraded from 3700X to 5800X3D. I installed my new CPU then realized I forgot to update my BIOS, and the computer wouldn't boot. This video was easy to follow and I was able to update my BIOS with the new CPU already installed. Amazing quality of life feature.

For those who cannot solve the problem with the Solid Green Light and did everything showed in the video. Revise the Drive Partition Format. In the Windows Format Tool it does NOT appear. So, use Diskpart for checking if your Drive is using MBR or GPT format. As you know, for flashing you have to use MBR.

For those who have the light of the flashback who stay on, try to format your usb key with Diskpart.
1) Open cmd as an administrator
2) diskpart
3) list disk
4) select disk (x) x is the number of your usb key
5) clean
6) convert mbr
7) create partition primary
8) select partition 1
9) format fs=fat32 quick

You can change the filename without the BIOS Renamer program. Make sure your USB Drive has the partition scheme of Master Boot Record and not GUID Partition Map. If it blinks a couple of times, then turns solid blue, then something wasn't set up correctly. If it keeps blinking until it goes out completely, then it worked properly.

This tutorial is helpful, straight to the point. Whilst doing it I encounter a problem. After following all the steps my computer wouldn't turn on.

I freaked out a little, decided to wait 15 minutes after the light stopped blinking and tried again, but it didn't turn on, I waited more and nothing, then I turned off the power supply and turned it on again, after that I tried to turn the computer on again and thank God it work.

Just to test if my heart is healthy 😂😂😂😂

GUYS - this is for people who have lost the hope:
USB 32GB Drive didn't work for me in options FAT32 / FAT32 MBR / NTFS
I picked an old drive from laptop - 150GB HDD.
I have used Windows 11 storage management and limited it's capacity into 8192MB.
Then I have right clicked on it and formatted it with Windows into FAT32 file system.
I have copied the BIOS with correct name (as in Motherboard manual).
Finally this has worked for me.
Hope someone finds this one day lol.

Thank you very much! It worked perfectly for me. TUF Gaming B550-Plus + Ryzen 7 5700G

If you have an indicator flashing after pressing the button and then it becomes permanent, it means that your USB flash drive is incorrectly formatted. Use rufus to create a bootable USB flash drive in mbr!

Does the newer "exFAT" format work as well, or does it have to be "FAT32" specifically for something like the ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) for instance?

I'm buying a TUF GAMING B450-PLUS II and a AMD Ryzen 5 5600G. Should I update the bios to the newest version or a specific one?

Does it will work, if there are other files than BIOS Update on the flash drive?
