Thank you for this video. I was clueless on how to boot from the USB on my ASUS laptop. For my particular BIOS, I followed your directions: I disabled fast boot, I disabled secure boot, but I also had to enable CSM. I saved and exited and I was then able to see my USB and boot from it. Thanks again for the assist.

What is the way to add a Bootable Linux drive? Specially for newer Asus laptops (2023 2024 models)

I've always been able to use Kaspersky Rescue Disk (KRD) on a usb pendisk on every laptop I've had. Only in April/2022 I bought a ASUS_VivoBook_ S513EP-71AM3SB1 and I can not boot with the KRD. I use Rufus with the MBR - UEFI (non-CSM) or GPT (non-SCM) partition system and it does not start. Recognizes the usb pendisk but when I start with the pendisk appears a white trace in the upper right corner and from there does not come out!. I've also disabled Boot Secure and it can't. this happens with all Antivirus Rescue Disk (Kaspersky, Norton, Panda, ESET) except with Avira Rescue Disk. With Avira Rescue Disk using the GPT partition system (non-CSM) and disabling Boot Secure, it works. Only in fact for me the KRD is the best!
I request support for this situation to ASUS SuPPORT in order to be able to use Kaspersky Recue Disk because it makes no sense not to be able to boot with the Linux Operating System!

Hello Asus,

I have a ROG STRIX SCAR 2 or 3 I believe. Windows does some weird things with the battery. Sometimes I fully charge it and when I remove the charger the computer just shuts off.

With the help of the video I managed to boot the laptop with Linux Mint so I could test if the laptop would shutdown again even when it is fully charged.

It doesn't shutdown so the battery is good.

The second problem is that it sometimes says 0% battery even though it has been charging.

How do I fix these problems?

I already have tried updates and reinstalling the driver a few months ago, but it reoccured again. Could you please help me? I would like my laptop to function when I am using Windows aswell.

Hi, I am having problems with my new laptop. I bought an Asus Zenbook 14. Was working fine. I updated the OS to windows 11 and now I have a bitlocker screen when I start up. I can’t get past it. I’ve never set a bitlocker password or recovery key on the laptop. My Microsoft account also does not show a recovery key. I am now forced to reformat the C drive where the OS is located. The problem I have is that I cannot boot windows from a USB pen drive now. When I go into bios to disable the fast boot I do not not have the CSM option. I have formatted the drive to FAT32 and the partition to GPT and still no luck booting windows. Do I have to format the C drive before I can boot windows or am I missing something. Any help would be great as I’ve been struggling for over month now

Hello, i have a brand new HP P1512CE laptop that i bought without OS, BIOS version 208. I want to install win7 on it, i made everything as it is in video, boot does find USB stick, but when i click to start to boot, nothing happens. I tried USB stick on another laptop that allready has win10 on it and the boot from USB starts as it should. I tried to format usb on ntfs, fat32, but is all the same. Are there any options in bios that are not mantioned in video?

Hello Asus, I've tried the method that was shown on the video whether the USB drive isn't showing up when I'm about to boot from it, but still, the USB drive doesn't show up on the boot menu despite I've tried using the method that was shown on the video, any idea why?

Is there no key to press while the pc is initializing to choose to boot from a pen drive? Do i always need to change the boot order from the BIOS to do that?

Thanks for the Video team, i will try that out.

Asus zenbook 14 flip core i7 127000H waste of time with windows 11 . 20 V-cores and Ram is only 16 GB and there is no option to upgrade to 32gb. Windows 11 eats ram like anything and the CPU is hardly 20% on normal usage.

To the Asus system architects, do you even think this is a good configuration.

I have a problem trying to install Windows 11 from a USB. My USB is not recognized, and I don't have the option for Secure Boot/Secure Boot Mode. I only have two options: Custom or Standard. I don't have the option to enable Secure Boot.

I have a Zenbook 13 win10, but teh USB option isn't showing. I've disabled fast boot, I disabled secure boot, created the boot-USB on my other asus Expertbook. I've saved the setting and rebooted, but USB doesn't show up as an option so can't get it to boot from the USB. I need to get past the Bitlocker thats blocking. I've never activated Bitlocker so it's a I have no Key for it.

Since USB-boot doesn't work, how do I get past bitlocker to reinstall windows?
