3 Tips on How to Take Communion...THE RIGHT WAY!

Are you taking communion the right way? I know, I know. This is NOT a subject that most Christians stay up late worrying about. I get it. But, communion is one of the two sacraments that the church has held near and dear for nearly two millennia, along with baptism.

So, it's critical that we have a solid understanding of how to partake in communion in a God-honoring way. So, in this video I'm going to share with you what I believe are three tips on how to take communion according to the scriptures.

Reflect, Repent, Rejoice! I never considered taking communion on my own. I will definitely make a point to do this in Chapter 45 of my life. I've taken communion in church many times and I understood how we must examine ourselves before taking it. There was many times I passed on taking it when I felt guilty of sin. But no one has ever explained that after the moment of repenting I qualify to take communion. I would of avoided times of shame in church. Thank you Allen Parr for clarity.

I take Communion every day and shed tears because as I take Communion I say in Prayer before eating bread and drinking from the cup I say I take in remembrance of his sacrifice for me 🙏🏾✝️🙏🏾✝️🙏🏾

Love this. Great explanation. Churches have made this into a ritualistic method of every 1st Sunday and special occasions (i.e. Easter, Christmas, etc) when God's word clearly states to do this often which means many times. We do not need a church service to do communion when Christ clearly tells every Christian to do this. I am guilty of allowing the Church to hold me accountable for doing communion but no longer. Communion is something that I will do more often in remembrance of our Lord and Savior.

I love your 3 steps to take communion. I always thought of my sins but never what HE went through for my/our sakes. And the third point to rejoice and also give thanks. Thank you for this. Taking communion was never explained. I simply thought it was part of a Christian walk and what I saw others do. So I did too. This along with other stuff is the reason why I'm seeking another Church. Nothing is ever explained and it takes me coming to channels like yours for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I take communion at home. I sit and repent and thank Jesus for His sacrifice and for calling me but I never looked at reflecting like you spoke of, Allen. Gave me a whole new perspective on that. Even when I take communion at church I never really reflected😩😞 That changes today because I'm coming out of a 7 day fast. 6 day water only. Was supposed to be 7 but that first day just water had me messed up so I eased into it. But I'm spending the remainder of my time reflecting, repenting and rejoicing 😃🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
