For anyone struggling on true day 1, grip the ball INSANELY hard with your Index, Middle, ring AND Pinky. A good trick to know is if you grip the ball with those fingers hard enough, none of the ball should remotely be in contact with your palm and you can hold it out arm fully extended and you still have firm positive control of the ball with your fingers.
