It feels so full circle asking my friend for help
I remember being in awe of her flexibility and never considering taking her classes
Why?
Seems so silly in hindsight
I guess things happen when they’re meant to happen
I’m so excited to learn from her and learn more about contortion and it’s connection to Mongolian culture

You guys are so fucking cool, man. I'm an out-of-shape, 33-year-old dude and the enthusiasm and openness y'all approach everything with always makes me want to try stuff. Just watching this thinking, "I should improve my handstand and get more flexible!" and it's been literal years since I last attempted a handstand hahahaha. I hope I can make use of the inspiration - thank you for continuing to make great videos and sharing your life with us.

honestly this seems so healthy and enjoyable! i had a back injury from competitive cheer / dance in high school, did physical therapy, and stopped competing. i feel like bringing back stretching and stuff like this might actually be really good :)) still have flexibility just never really wanted to again

Just a quick physiotherapy heads up:
After a certain degree of back flexibility, your lower back will be the only part that you can work on. That is, because of how your upper back's vertebrae block each other from bending further.
Thus the tension and pressure will be put on your lower back, potentially overworking it, which could cause serious long-lasting pains and injuries like the one you had.
So just make sure to be careful and take it slow!❤️

As Somebody who can Bend in Half like Anna, At first My Head And Lower Back hurt After I got out of the position but something that really helped was Doing a Seal stretch or the one wear your feet touch your head. Also Make sure your not pushing yourself to hard. If you hear a few Back cracks or even shoulder cracks your just getting a better stretch. New sub❤️

You two are both so talented. I think I bookmarked that one, but honest, I'll get my ballet bod another way it sounds like.

I attempted a handstand for the first time in a while yesterday. I had a major hand injury a few years ago so it's tough believing in myself. But this is encouraging ❤

You should definitely get a coach just to make sure you don't injure yourself! Good luck!❤

I honestly had a very bad back injury from a coach and my back kept hurting while bending for 6 months. Since i left the coach and came back to Anna McNulty not only i became very flexible but i have had zero injuries. Forever thankful to that girl, she is amazing!

This is so cool I am going to try this although I already follow so many of Anna’s back stretches I have never been able to do some of the tricks

I love the reality check in this video where you actually got proper coaching. Anna McNulty is great but stuff like this can cause injuries without proper technique. Having eyes on coaching makes a world of difference in injury prevention.

Super impressive. Looks like the key will be focusing more on hitting your upper back. Keep it up and stay safe 😁😁

biggest thing is making sure you have the strength to get yourself in and out of stretches!! that's usually where pain comes from
