Yes.
If we don't do these things, we won't become more functional. We will become _less_ functional. This is what alot of people don't understand.
I was looked down upon by mental health staff for doing solution based coping because the anger energy was being used to change something that needed to change. They didn't like the anger, so they wanted me to "go calm down". But that would have had the opposite effect that they wanted.
Why aren't mental health clinicians being trained about this?

I like watching animated movies/shows and anything comedy. Ive gotten criticized for not being solution based because I am just "procrastinating and not facing the problem". Its not that I want to run away - I just need time to recollect myself and feel ready enough to go through with what needs to get done. Anyone else relate?

A lot of people drink and smoking pot. Not a good idea but people do it.
