Is this woman not the best communicator? I can see her as our President because that’s what we need right now. The US is one traumatised country right now and we need direct, sympathetic but tough love and she delivers

Please go into further detail with this! I would LOVE to hear it explained by someone who gives us such unbiased, nuanced and fact based explanations.

Sheesh my mother did this when calling us kids 😂 she would call everyone’s name before she got to the one she was trying to reach

I did this for years. Never understood why I had a fear towards my oldest brother until I realized the thought I was blocking to feel that way. Then I was able to get past it and have a healthy relationship with my brother.

I call people different names simply from talking to other people
If I've spoken to my uncle all day, ill call everyone Richard 😂

Nice that you used the subjunctive mood, "wish he were" instead of "wish he was" in the captions.

And what are healthier ways of coping with this?

This is not always the case though. My sister calls all her children (all boys) and her husband and her little brothers all the same name ...

Funnily enough, she never calls any of them her older brother's name, nor her dad.

So maybe it's that she's trying to mother her husband too.

I had a lot of repressed thoughts about my sexuality. I was raised Mormon so I learned about all the things that were "unacceptable" from a pretty early age, like "you can't like/love people from the same gender". So I unconsciously started to deny the feelings I had for other girls until it was appearing on my dreams. It took me years to accept my bisexuality, but the day I finally accepted it, the dreams stopped. Very interesting how the brain works.

I was looking for repression and behavioral issues, more specifically male repression leading to chauvinism, sexual frustration, violence and anger issues.
I found no content on the issue. Just this little video explaining repression.

Maybe this is why most people act as if death does not exist for them?

so is depression caused by the chronic repression of certain emotions, like anger?
