As an HR, I would suggest, never give a range. Interviewer will always prefer the lower range in majority of cases.

I literally say, "minimum this much amount". I have never been rejected because of that.

Never say 42 k - 50 k... HR people are so smart that in such case they will make u work at 40 k😅

Ask them, What's your budget for this role? If the say 60-70k ask for 70k, if they ask current ctc, tell them it's none of your business, I'm working for free on charity. You offer what you can..

Mam, in one of my interview I told my salary expectation range to the employer .
Employer said, never quote a salary in range because every HR would like to save their company's budget and you would get the minimum of the range, though u proved yourself in the interview

42 -50 isnt a tight range..its quite broad...and hr will always offer the lower number of range..

If a employee stays a longer in a company for 10 years, in these ten years he/she gets only one promotion and he/ she has been aware that he can not get promotion here, So the question will be asked why you did stay longer, please make a video on that answer

And HRs really have no say in your salary, the budget is in the hands of your reporting manager
