I looked at glass door for salary for a company that asked me what my salary expectation are? When I gave them the range they did not come back to me. It was for a director role for the 2nd biggest telecommunications company . Salary not advertised so how do we know if we over or under. It’s not straight forward.

I was finding this video for a long time sadly when I enter the interview I can easily sell myself with the quality I have to offer sadly the question that is a job offer killer is when they ask me the salary expectation this video is very important as it shows why is it to important to answer the question, plus the employer should understand why the candidate wants the money because their are life commitments so as union marriage etc. The employer must take into consideration the need for salary price at this range and so they should be more understandable why he need this money sadly a lot times employers wants to take advantage of the candidate yet they should understand that he is too a human being who wants a decent life

I find this a very unfair question for an employer to ask. They should just conduct their interviews and award the best with the job, if they decline pick number 2. Some employers end up giving very low salaries to those who deserve better just because the employee was unable to negotiate a good one. Not all of us are good at or like haggling over money.

I had an interview 3 days a go for a management position. I was studying for hours on different questions they would ask and preparing answers for each in case they popped up in the interview. During the interview, They started with a tour of the place and then asked me 1 question. Are you capable of having tough conversations with staff? After that they pretty much just told me what I'd be doing if I was successful. Was actually surprised they never asked me this question.

Most employers from experience don't ask why I ask for the amount, they usually want people that lowball themselves (that can also do the job) or remove anyone that asks too much.
