8 Signs You Might Be Suffering From Complex PTSD

Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (Complex PTSD or C-PTSD) is a type of PTSD that develops when a person experiences repeated, prolonged trauma or abuse. Complex PTSD symptoms are similar to other forms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, many people are often misdiagnosed as having a different condition.

If you are suffering from Complex PTSD, it's important that you know how to recognize the symptoms. For some people, CPTSD symptoms may be more obvious than others. You might have experienced trauma in your past and still have lingering issues with anxiety or depression. You might also struggle with panic attacks, flashbacks or frequent nightmares that prevent you from having the life you want to live.

Taking care of your mental health is important. If any of this sounds like what's going on with you right now, then it may be time to consider seeking treatment for C-PTSD.

I've been diagnosed with PTSD & BPD! I've also achieved much education at the master's degree level in Clinical Psychology, but the cruel irony of that is, that I have great difficulty bringing my academic background to bear upon my own situation, with extreme trauma! It's a blessing, however, to be able to help others! Stay safe & be blessed, everyone!💜🌍

I had completed ptsd as a result of a betrayel that broke open Pandora box to traumas from childhood I repressed... healing from ptsd has got to be the hardest things I've ever had to do! But it can be done.... worst of it was over within 4-5 years then another 4....So, 9 years in total! This video is spot on with the signs and symptoms!
Sometimes I still get little burst of hyper vigulence when a sudden loud noise happens during the night! But I'd rather that than my condition 9 years ago....
My heart goes out to anyone in the midst of going through ptsd atm 💖
You will heal I promise.... you need to heal from inside out.... inner work, stay active, go for walks.... meditate... these are some of the things which helped me.... take it day by day.... you'll get there.... 🫂💖

I am sending this link to my significant other so he can better understand me. That is if he actually takes the time to listen. Thank you for making this very clear and concise. Very much appreciated!

I am diagnosed with PTSD, Anxiety, and depression and it’s literally hell dealing with it and trying to explain my behaviors is hard for people not suffering from this. I’m on medication but it’s still a daily struggle and battle.

I had PTSD since I was 16 then at 36 I had a miscarriage and it was a new diagnosis of CPTSD. I can tell you that everything is super intensified and there is no more controlling your fits of anger it becomes intense rage it is very hard to control and also very hard to understand when an episode is about to occur or if you're about to have a trigger or flashback.

💖 Good Morning 💖 B.D.!

This is such an important list, not only for those suffering, but for those suffering the sufferer as well! It took a lot of years for my family to stop labeling me as "crazy" and realize my emotional dysregulation had nothing to do with my intelligence, my age or my maturity level... I suffered a long time, not only from my own mind, but from being berated and put down by those who were supposed to love me.

I know I was difficult for them. They were difficult for me.

Videos like these are so important to get conversations - and compassion - to those who really need it and may not have access to professional services. It's good to get ideas on areas to work on and becoming aware of it's effect on others, too...

Stay Blessed my Friend and keep up the awesome work! You are making the world a better place for some of us! 💖

I've never been diagnosed with PTSD.
I learned early how to fall through the cracks. But these symptoms are spot on.
Considering the blood, pain and fear I grew up with, CPTSD sounds inevitable.

My mental health therapist said I had "Chronic Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome". She said it's was "chronic " because I experienced multiple traumas from multiple sources, over a long period of time.... I recognize many of the symptoms described here but I also see differences. Jesus Christ is getting me through this challenge of overcoming fear and walking in HIS peace love and most importantly...forgiving my abusers .. it's a daily challenge

In the case of my ex he is damaged at the core of his being.
Look alot if people will watch this and start seeing things about toxic people they are trying to be with.
You can't fix them ex ed n if you understand why they are toxic.
It's a solo journey for these people to heal. You can't and should not put yourself at risk to save people.

The emotions originating outside of you may be misidentified here...many empathic people attract narcissists that cause the original trauma.

I am diagnosed with 100% PTSD and it taken over 20+ years to heal as far as I have. I spend years in recovery and I moved out of the USA to the Philippines and put my life in focusing on my life goals. I still struggle but getting better. I still have trouble.
