So why do Californians REGRET Moving to Dallas Texas? THIS IS WHY!
With all the migration of Californians moving to Texas over the past few years, and at the time significant exodus out of California. What have all the Californians had to say about their move to the Great State of Texas, some shared "Why I regret moving to Texas"? In this video, we have narrowed it down to the TOP 5 REASONS some Californians regret moving to Texas from California.

If you're considering moving to Texas from California or other parts of the country, you'll want to hear this. In this video, we're going to discuss why some people regret moving to Dallas, Texas.

Are you tired of the rain and snow in other parts of the country? Well, you might think that moving to Texas would mean sunshine and warmth all year round, but that's not always the case. The weather in Dallas can be a shock to some newcomers, especially during the hot and humid summer months. With the heat and humidity, it can be unbearable at times, and even if there are plenty of lakes and pools to cool off in, not everyone enjoys that kind of escape. Unlike other places with mountains or other options to beat the heat, Texas doesn't offer much respite from the scorching temperatures, which can be a downside for some.

And let's talk about the rare but intense winter storms that can hit Texas. While winters in Dallas are generally mild, when these winter storms do occur, they can cause issues. From pipes bursting due to freezing temperatures to problems with power outages, Texas is not well-equipped to handle these weather events compared to other areas that are used to dealing with harsh winters. The lack of infrastructure and experience in handling such extreme weather events can be frustrating for those who are not accustomed to it.

In addition to the weather, the scenery during the winter months in Dallas can be less than appealing. Unlike other colder regions where you may have picturesque snow-capped mountains, in Texas, the winter landscape can be dull and dreary, with everything appearing dead and gray. Even if there's a rare snowfall, it usually melts quickly and doesn't stick around long enough to create a beautiful winter wonderland like in other parts of the country. This lack of scenic beauty during the winter months can be disappointing for those who are used to more visually appealing winters.

Despite these drawbacks, Dallas does have its charms, with beautiful springs and falls, and a lot to offer in terms of food, work, and entertainment. However, it's important to be aware of the weather conditions and the potential challenges that come with living in Texas, especially if you're used to a different climate. It's always a good idea to do your research and consider your preferences and lifestyle before making a decision to move to Dallas, Texas.

Hello :)- I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 35 years of my life before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada for 12 years now and this NEW group of folks leaving California have "un-realistic" expectations of other states and DO ABSOLUTELY NO research before leaving California!!!!

Great video! Very well articulated, this info makes it little easy to decide if moving from San Diego to Dallas makes sense or not :)

You got us beat when it comes to cost of living! NorCal middle to upper middle class suburb resident here. Very diverse group of friends and I can honestly say not one is considering moving to Texas. Although not everyone likes our State Government our congressional representative is part of the moderate wing of the Dem party and he's done well by our community. No homeless problem, low crime, plenty of parks and walking trails, mild climate, low property taxes, Lake Tahoe, Napa, Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, real mountains now flush with snow (Thank God), awesome hillside views, incredible hiking options, beaches, food options galore and all within a 2 hour drive in any direction makes up for some of the blemishes in our state.

I live in both California and Texas and much prefer California. The weather in California and the natural beauty cannot be beat but I do appreciate the politics more in Texas and the cost of living is still better than California, though not for much longer and the traffic in DFW is now on par with SoCal, sad to say. As for the lakes in Texas, the majority are man-made with no natural tributaries so the water is stagnant and the beaches are nothing to brag about. And no mountains. Yes, you can get more house but I would rather have a smaller house and live in a beautiful place with a great climate. Now all we have to do is get rid of the Dems and the stranglehold they have on the state and life would be great! Texas weather is extreme, it has always been dramatic but now it's just violent and awful. October is really the only good month there.

California transplant here 🙌🏼 you're not going to sway me to go back 😂 heat and all we don't care and also SOME OF US are moving here because we vote 🔴 it's extremely ignorant to assume we're all democrats that's just not true. So I'm here to stay unless you've lived in Cali you really don't understand why we're leaving

I love how conservative Texas is but I have to admit it’s hard to get used to the flat land. I’m used to seeing mountains (San Diego)

I live in the Greater Sacramento area and it gets hot here as well but not for very long. The hotest months is last week of June, all of July until 3rd week of August. When we have over hunded degree heat, you don't see people going up the mountains or lakes or do daily walks. People usually stay indoors. We had 7 days of >100 degrees in June, 13 days in July, and so far 3 days this month.

In Texas you can live comfortably on 70k 80k a year, in California with 70 or 80k you'll live in your car.

I moved to Houston from Orange County California and there’s no comparison but I moved here for work so I’m sucking it up. It’s super hot 🥵 i’m not sure I can get used to it. I’m conservative so I don’t have an issue with the politics. The parks are beautiful here though.

I wouldn't live in a neighborhood like I'm Texas born, and as a truck driver I have seen how cities are. The hill country is my drstination.

This is an excellent video.
I moved from Houston to Los Angeles in 1999. I lived in LA until 2020. I left LA because of extreme high cost of living/housing. I also don’t like CA politics.
Back in Houston, I love native Texans. Their friendly and I appreciate their values.
BUT- Texas isn’t like it used to be due to the massive amount of people moving In during the past 2 1/2 years.
Houston has become congested, the drivers are pretty much like LA drivers- aggressive, rude and pushy. The price of housing is going up. Thankfully I bought a house here 10 years ago when it was still good. But even out in the suburbs it is crowded and lots of traffic.
Then there is the weather. As a child I didn’t notice it, but in middle age I tolerate the high heat/humidity very poorly from late May to end of October when it is in the triple digits.
So I’d tell anyone thinking of moving here to carefully consider. The grass isn’t always greener.

We are in Phoenix and below are the reasons we would be moving to Dallas-
1. Above 100 degrees in Phoenix and around 100 degrees in Dallas. Yes the 12 degrees does make a HUGE difference.
2. Valley fever in Phoenix metro. My wife gets severe cough for 3 months (July thru Sept).
3. Dallas has an international airport with great connectivity
4. More diverse jobs in Dallas. Phoenix only has banking jobs mostly.

Now, below are the factors we will surely miss about Phoenix-
1. There are places above sea level that you can go with 2 hours drive - Show Low, Payson, Sierra Vista. 15 degrees cooler.
2. Lesser property tax than Dallas

We would definitely miss Phoenix but we have sat ourselves down & weighed pros and cos and it overall makes sense for us to move out of Phoenix.
