Salads are considered to be the key to fitness. Had this idea ever hit you to restrict your meals to salads completely? Like daily, three times a day! 

But before you jump to this diet, you should know when you eat only this bowl of salad every day, what does it do to your body? We will consider both the pros and cons of eating salad every day let's say for a month (30 days).

First, let’s look at some Pros

1. You are Consuming healthy fat.

Roasted or raw seeds like pumpkin and sunflower seeds are examples of good fat. These you can easily include in your salad too. Also, some oil-based dressings are good fat too. Just ensure you are not consuming saturated fat, which is quite unhealthy. 

2. Your digestion improves.

When you eat salads, you're consuming a high amount of fibers. Fibers help to clean your intestines and speed up the process of absorbing the right nutrients. In simple words, they do not let you complain of constipation.

3. Your body gets essential vitamins.

Your body will receive the right amounts of vitamins when you eat salads. Vitamins are essential for your health and offer numerous advantages. For example, vitamin A is vital for your vision. In contrast, vitamin C is an antioxidant agent that helps your skin look young and fresh. 

4. You will lose weight

With the right amount of foods in your salad bowl, you will consume fewer calories. When you eat multiple types of food items daily, you are also taking the calories offered by each of them. But if your choices are limited, you have better control over your calorie intake. 

5. Your blood pressure will drop

Green veggies are an excellent source of Potassium. Potassium lowers your blood pressure and is good for the heart. Remember! High blood pressure is a silent killer. Your salad bowl even saves you from this disease.

6. Your muscles will become active

Do you remember Popeye, the sailor? And how he used to consume spinach to get bigger biceps? Scientists have now proved that some green vegetables speed up the process of converting protein into muscle mass. This process helps to build your muscles. 

Now, let’s see some Cons

1. You crave for more

Eating the same kind of salads every day will restrict your taste buds to a limited choice of foods. Hence they want more. People eating salads are eagerly waiting to try the delicious meals that are out there. And when they get a chance to do so, it's hard to stop. They will probably end up cheating or overeating. 

2. You feel hungry

Salads are not fulfilling! You feel hunger pains, and this is a significant drawback of following this diet. But it is not like this problem doesn't have a solution. It would be best if you keep going. Once your body gets used to this limited meal, it will adjust and reduce its appetite, and you will no longer feel these hunger attacks. 

3. You mistakenly consume more

Salads are healthy if you make them in a healthy way. There is no point in eating salads if you are adding too much in your bowl. Even if they are fruits, veggies, and protein, they have calories. If you are taking the same amount of calories in your salad, as you were taking in your regular meal, you lose the purpose of eating salad. 

In conclusion, the positive effects on your body by eating salads every day outweigh the negative ones. Salads are health builders. Also, with a bit of innovation, you can make your salad bowls interesting. Variety is fun and doesn't let you get bored with the same diet. We recommend you eating salad every day for a healthy, wealthy living.

I learned in this video that salads help with lowering your blood pressure, keeps you from being constipated regulates your bowls. Salads also help you loose weight. I'm going to start eating salads everyday.

I eat two chunky salads and a bowl of oats a day. I eat a lot, and find that I’m craving it now. My mind and body is working so much more effectively now and I have way more energy.

Been eating salad every meal for 2 weeks now. I eat at 12 and at 8 and fast for 16 hours. My salad has Kale, spinach, a few kinds of lettuce, I use a hand full of each so it's quite large. Then I add cashews, hemp seeds, avocado, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, raisins, blueberries, 2 boiled eggs, a form of meat either steak, chicken, or fish. 4-6 ounces, and full fat ranch. I do take a multivitamin, a vitamin c and b complex. All this keeps me quite full and I feel as for a man it's necessary to add all this. I do concrete and construction for work and I have my own farm also, I have plenty of energy, actually I have more than ever. I've leaned up quite quickly. The intermentent fasting is amazing. The first few days you think your starving but one day your like dang man I ain't even hungry. The human body adapts quickly, and it's just so amazing. Oh to add on I'm almost 25, I don't know if this adds anything or not but age might or might not affect what you can or can't eat?

To stave off hunger you can do a protein shake..I decided to eat salads 🥗 only from now on..

I've been eating a few pieces of fruit plus one big veggie salad within a 2 hour window each day. I am so full from it I don't even get hungry during my daily 22 hour fast. I'm only on day 4 but I love it and still not hungry.

as a base for salad, one suggestion is to cut up and mix, in a big bowl:

raw broccoli
tomato
red onion
red pepper
cucumber
garbanzo beans

just snacking on those is amazingly tasty and energizing. adding some chicken, shredded cheese, tortilla chips or croutons, lettuce and dressing makes it a meal.

Ok I was just making sure that it’s safe to eat just one meal that being a salad per day to lose weight fast. And once I reach my goal to maintain weight I will eat a salad for lunch and a small dinner. My goal is to lose about 60lbs and I’m going to just eat a salad for lunch, no breakfast no dinner. Get on a schedule of waking up at 9 and going to bed at 10. And exercising by doing workouts every day. And that’s how I plan to do it starting on Monday. Oh and weighing myself every day to. Wish me luck!

you can eat more salad than you can eat burgers. its very hard to gain weight eating salad. its hard to eat 1000 kcal of salad versus 1000 calories of burgers
