Gotta give the infographics show their flowers for
1. Fair portrayal of ketamine therapy, especially mentioning the need for continuous monitoring, acknowledging side effects, and mentioning that different brains respond to KT differently.
2. Portrayal of someone _actually recovering_ from a substance use disorder
3. Realistically portraying the slow realization that you have a substance problem (it’s not always the lightbulb moment shown in media)
4. Acknowledging that curious people learning about things like K may want to try it, and encouraging people to seek out harm reduction information.

Is it just me or was it a bit freaky how Emily never closed her mouth and was constantly sporting a silent scream

I was given ketamine while I had kidneystones when morphine wouldn't touch the pain. I'm not sure on the dosage but I definitely remember "tripping" the nurse had me verbally saying positive things to assure I wasnt going into a bad "trip". It completely eased my pain and I certainly left earth. Crazy crazy drug.

I received Ketamine therapy from the VA system and it's insanely effective. I had resistance to treatment by all other means, was shut off from trying new things and miserable. Tried suicide twice. Afterwards it was so fascinating. I feel unstoppable, the real me was surpressed by all the anxiety and depression. I felt/feel so clear on my thoughts, inspirational moments strike so often it's magic. I literally gained IQ points because of the clarity it provided me. People don't understand clearly that depression is full on a disability, and they will ridicule you for suffering from it blaming you for being weak. Anyway, Ketamine works. If you can take it. Then do that

That thumbnail is me trying to remember someone’s name 20 seconds after they’ve told me.

I was diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia when I was 14 and for a fair bit of my lumbar punctures I was given Versed and Ketamine. I had some fun hallucinations on it but supposedly it was no fun allowed because I was having "too much interest" in which meds they were gonna put me down with. They switched to Versed and Fentanyl for the rest of my surgeries.

Thankfully, I'm cancer free now for about 10 years! I just think it's funny I got party drugs at the hospital at 14

I did ketamine infusions for my depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and it's been life-changing for me. I'm off of my antidepressants and I feel better than I ever thought I could after starting to struggle with my mental health at only six years old. Absolutely amazing treatment, but it is unfortunately really expensive in the US.

Psilocybin helped me more than I could possibly say. It helped me to overcome a lifetime of trauma, the least of which I experienced serving as an infantryman in the Army between 05 and 09. Drugs like these need to be studied and embraced. It will lead to better people and a better society.

This works. I was struggling with burnout and depression so bad I couldnt leave the house or even bed. After a few weeks I am now once again a functioning member of society. The effects were almost instant.

I do a 75mg ketamine infusion once a month for PTSD and pain and I have found it quite helpful.

I've had hospital grade ketamine twice...in the hospital, for really painful kidney stones. I can't have opioids as my body reacts negatively to them. Was really fun!

I’m a USMC vet got went in 2008 left in 2012, after I got out I was a mess for years, special k treatments helped me with everything and put me in a way better spot. You need to continue therapy if not then it doesn’t work trust me.

They dosed me with propofol, ketamine and fentanyl to operate on me, I can’t even explain how traumatic it was. I had the 1000 yard stare for weeks after

The therapy in the UK is SO expensive it's no wonder people take it recreationally!

The idea of the ketamine therapy feeling more comfortable because the doctor is there is interesting to me because I would be so stressed out with a doctor there while I'm under any drug's influence, I guess that just shows the sadness of inherently not trusting any doctors
