This may be a hot take but rear dets are the most important for aesthetics and posture. I’ve always prioritized them in every training program I’ve ran and it has made my shoulders look 3D even as a natural lifter.

Pete i want to thank you for introducing me to bodybuilding. I'm 17 and i don't have money for weights or a gym membership as they're like 80 bucks a month where i live, but i do have a bunch of jugs and bottles i have been collecting and wasn't quite sure on how to use. I have bottles that are 1lb each 3lbs each all the way up to a bunche of 6 gallon jugs that weigh in 45lbs each all adding up to around 400lb of just bottles and jugs. I have made awesome progress in the last year using them while following your channel and as little as it may seem i have gon from 130lbs to 153lbs which considering im 6ft has helped me look bigger and gain more confidence plus i can lift 160lbs which from having to start at the bar has been quite exciting to see, so thanks man.

Cable lateral raises and dumbell lateral raises are great. Then after that hit leaning dumbell lateral raises. Combine with over head press and thats your shoulders done ✔️

One of the reasons I OHP is health. If I don't do ohp my shoulders start acting up on bench. 3 sets a week of ohp and everythings feeling smooth

Man you shoulda talked about cable crossovers or seated front raises for the 3rd excercise, not just a variation of the second one that doesn't hit the rear delt as directly.

Hi Peter, what would you Advice to do in case of bigger front delts? Im running your 5 Day mass program for about 1.5 years. The bigger front delts i had due to wrong workouts before your great 5 Day mass program. Thank you 😊

Could you just do Incline Press in lieu of OHP? I’m not crazy about OHP (I do a lot of lateral raises though).

I'm thinking of doing normal lateral raises on a bench but each set I drop the bench a Little bit until the bench is almost flat and it's all rear delt

I used to solely do OHP on a machine. I used to have the craziest striations in the form of this three fingered fathom. I feel like it can but only with the right intensity and failure of form; I'd end up slouching on the end of program, low weight high rep rounds. But yeah, they were fucking gnarly.

how do you feel about upright rows? i have two push days atm and i've been doing just upright rows for shoulders on the day that's more chest oriented. it's been a great timesaver for me and hits the whole shoulder and some traps, always cooks the lateral delt especially well.
