Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are upcoming role-playing video games (RPGs) developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The games are the first installments of the Pokémon RPG series for the Nintendo Switch. They are enhanced remakes of the 1998 Game Boy video game Pokémon Yellow. They will also contain influences from Pokémon Go, as well as integration with Go, and will support a new optional controller called the Poké Ball Plus. The games are scheduled to be released worldwide on November 16, 2018

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are set in the Kanto region and will include the original 151 Pokémon creatures in addition to their respective Mega Evolved and Alolan forms from Pokémon X and Y & Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Sun and Moon. Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! will feature common elements of the series, such as battling non-player character Pokémon Trainers and Gym Leaders with caught Pokémon creatures. However, instead of battling them like the traditional battle system of other major Pokémon role-playing games (RPGs), the catching of Pokémon creatures uses a different mechanic that is based on the mobile spin-off game Pokémon Go where players throw Poké Balls at a wild Pokémon by using the motion controls of the Joy-Con controller.

You can go finish your homework,
graduate from high school,
graduate from college,
work a few years at a part time job,
get your dream career,
meet someone you like,
date them for a year or so,
propose to them,
spend several months planning the wedding,
get married,
have a kid,
buy a house,
have another kid,
watch them graduate high school,
watch them graduate college,
spend time with your grandkids,
wait until you're about to die of old age after an incredible life,
get your old switch out of sleep mode one last time,
come back,
catch a Caterpie...
*And that is still a combo!*

I have found that you can actually run and it does not break your combo. Also if you look in the Pokédex, the animations you can play will correspond to when a Pokemon is going to flee. So with growlithe (one I am hunting) it has 2 animations. The first is the normal one, the second is the one it does just before it flees. When that animation plays you can run away and it won’t break the combo. Saved my combo resetting so many times!

My first shiny chain I was trying for a shiny caterpie in Viridian Forest. Got to about 65, and suddenly shiny bulbasaur appeared. I couldn't resist. As soon I caught it, shiny pikachu appeared, so I grabbed that too. Then shiny metapod appeared. Got three shinies in a row of different pokemon.

My guess is there must be some sort of threshold shortly after breaking the combo where shinies and pokemon will still be lured. I have no idea how else that could've happened other than extreme luck.

My biggest fear is encountering a shiny and having it run

Abra must be so hard because of how likely it is to run

So I just picked up Let's Go for the first time (thanks to watching your videos) and minutes into the game the only thing I've been doing is catching Oddish and on my 43rd one (literally haven't caught anything else) I got a shiny Oddish! Great way to start a game!

It's weird. There are many others who would make a video like this, use a thumbnail like yours just for clickbait and not be informative at all.

You though, on every video I've watched... actually tells you what you need. Very useful thank you :)

Every time I have a serious question about a game I like, you already made a video explaining it WITHOUT MAJOR SPOILERS. Thank you, I honestly appreciate it

I love how i was looking for a squirtle waiting and waiting and caught one Psyduck because i wasn’t sure if it was registered in my pokédex yet, and after that while standing waiting for a squirtle to spawn, a shiny Psyduck pops up out of the blue (see what i did there) with a catch combo 2. No. Friggin. Joke 😂

This is the perfect shiny hunting tutorial. :) I catch combo-ed around 50 Caterpies and found myself a Shiny Weedle! Now I can get Shiny Mega Beedrill. Your videos are amazing.

It’s confirmed that running from the Pokémon you have a combo with doesn’t break the streak

So I had a combo of 36 for a weedle and used a lure to get more weedle to spawn. Next thing I see it’s a shiny caterpie... pure luck?
