Getting Shiny Pokemon has never been easier in a mainline Pokemon game. Here are a few strategies that will significantly increase your odds of running into a shiny Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet.

There are multiple strategies that can help you find a shiny Pokemon and some strategies can be mixed and matched to further improve your odds. Most of these strategies revolve around Pokemon Outbreaks which can be found on the map.

Using these methods we managed to catch a few shiny Pokemon in under an hour.

Bit of an error at the end there - don't set your switch down for 30 minutes when breeding, as the eggs only stack in the basket to 10, and with egg power level 2 (from a peanut butter sandwich), I get about 35 eggs in 15 minutes. So, you want to check the basket every few minutes and empty it out before it reaches 10.

I got a shiny Skiploom in the over world. Luckily I knew what a shiny Skiploom looks like because shinies don’t sparkle or chime like in Legends Arceus. That’s something that Gamefreak really needs to fix.

I beg to disagree. It's harder for me to look for shinies even with the mass outbreak glitch. I really cannot get one to spawn. And I wont really bother looking for Herba Mystica just to get one. I would rather be better off completing the entire Pokedex than bother for a shiny. PLA has a better system than S/V for shiny hunting.
