"... Seek pleasure in performance gain and do NOT get addicted to the feeling of fatigue"..

Thank you!

Well-said. Last year, I used to go to the gym six times a week and training hard every time. Eventually, after a few weeks, I noticed that I was barely making any gains and was feeling fatigued all day. I couldn't even push myself during my workouts any longer. Changing to four days a week worked like magic and I now feel on top of my game.

Quality over quantity, now i do 3 to 4 days a week and feeling great

Been there. Overtraining comes on very quickly and it happens easier than you would think. One of the easiest things to forget is that even though your muscles can get used to working out everyday your joints, tendons and nervous system don't necessarily recover as fast.

Agreed. I recently saw a video with some bodybuilders glorifying training 6-7 times a week as if you are slacking off doing less.

I find I am prone to do too much volume, so its actually better for me to have fewer training days to prevent injury.

damn it im completely addicted to that fatigue feeling to the point im dead by midday, but if i don't train to that level i feel i didn't train at all 😢

Exactly, I train 2 times per week only 14-18 sets per workout and seeing great results while being able to focus on my work most of the days

Thanks, but I won’t stop. I feel like it’s my mental journey about where I can push myself. I also might be wrong, but Mike Menzer’s student did everything till failure and gain 50 pounds of muscles in two months. So I will keep doing sets till failure.

God I love this...

I joined my friend at the gym and it was just so much for me. I'm a competitive person so whatever he did, I did and sometimes I did more. I bit off WAY more than I could chew, but 5-6 years prior to this, I was heavily training in Jiu Jitsu and I was in great shape. I knew I had it in me, but I just wasn't in the same shape I was.

That experience turned me off for a good while, but now I feel a turn around! I will remember your words "Do NOT get addicted to the feeling of Fatigue" which is the path I felt I was going down.

It's true! My progress has gone through the roof since focusing on quality. I feel much more sore the next day, thus taking more rest time.

My mayn spittin' some truth! You people out there know when you're overworking or slacking off. So be honest to yourselves;) Keep it up!

totally agree.... diminishing return is real.... and the risk is exponential.... less is definately more....

The feeling of an intense exercise is just so satisfying and addicting. The pain keeps you calm and alive. Though it's really bad to train everyday, when I was depressed, I really did high reps instead of just loading my vest with more Weights. Don't get injured out there homies

honestly, i’ve been noticing i enjoy doing like only two exercises. today all I did was squat heavy, and cj heavy. but i was so gassed. shit was intense.

I couldn't agree more. It is quite a difficult shift in mindset to reduce volume of training and knowing that we'll actually get better results. I'm currently going through thar shift...
