A very dangerous and deadly doctrine has been sown in most churches and countless Christians have embraced it. That is the teaching that it is impossible to stop sinning and that it is even normal for Christians to live as sinners.
I think the biggest lie in the Christian churches is the teaching that there is no escape from the flesh nature while in the body.
In truth, the flesh has no power over those who have truly been Born Again. The struggle is when people try to conquer their sin by their own power, because they have not received the Holy Spirit:
Scripture says, Collosians 2:11
"and in Him (Jesus) you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, "
This tells us that Jesus removes the flesh nature when one is truly reborn.
Romans 8:9-11 confirms this:
"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you."
The Apostle John said:
1 John 3
"Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.  No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
Dear children,  do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil,  because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin,  because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister."
Jude 1:24 agrees with John's teachings:
"Now to him (Jesus) who is able to keep you from stumbling (sinning) and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, "
Scripture also says:
1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
If your preacher does not talk like God's prophets and apostles, they are a fake.
When the Apostle Paul spoke about his struggles with sin, he was speaking about his past before he received the Holy Spirit, because he also said:
1 Corinthians 15:34 :
"Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame."
Paul also said, "Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8;1-8
When Jesus said, "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." He had not sent the Holy Spirit yet.
Jesus told the Pharisees,
"You will die in your sins."
For anyone who dies in their flesh, they are guaranteed to end up in Hell.
Scripture confirms this:
“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:13.
God's grace does not allow us to go on sinning. God's grace changes us. God's grace does not free us to sin. It frees us from sin. Decieved Christians have a false sense of security believing that they can sin until the day they die and still go to heaven, but they don't have faith in the power of the Holy Spirit to free them from the bondage of sin itself. Any notion of the freedom that God offers is quickly discouraged by false churches. There is more money in it for them if they keep their followers in the dark.
Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." The majority of his followers contradict him.
There is no doubt, countless Christians who have embraced false doctrine have ended up in Hell.
To deny the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver us from sin so that we can live a righteous life is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
The Apostle Paul said:
"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."
Hebrews 12:14
One who has not been converted to righteousness is not saved.
Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. The answer to your scenario is pretty simple.

You must turn your heart to the teachings of Christ and God.
Your actions will be a manifestation of where your heart is at.
There are dozens of scriptures in the NT saying sinners will not go to Heaven and that we will be judged also based in part by what we do.

In reality, the whole faith vs works debate is quite silly. For you cannot have real faith without good works. That doesn't mean you have to be perfect at everything. God gives credit for intent, as proven in the 'lusting in the mind is the same as sinning' example in the Bible. But if you say you believe, but don't think you have to obey any of the commandments, then in reality you don't really believe and have faith in Jesus. Thus, "Faith without works is dead."

Sadly only Jesus sheep know that the works that is spoken of is not works of our flesh but works of the Holy Spirit seen through us. So someone claiming they have faith in Jesus but there are no works (fruit) of the Holy Spirit in their lives their confession as well as them are still dead. Even Jesus taught works but it was not about keeping a salvation by you own merit it was about knowing who were His disciples and for those that are in Jesus and Jesus in them they cant do anything without Jesus who said that He that produces the fruit because He is the vine and we are the branches and that without Him we can do nothing (cant produce fruit). So for anyone that thinks they have faith in Jesus and are saved and also thinks that their works save them or keep them saved then clearly they don’t know Jesus because our works are nothing and can do nothing apart from the vine which is Jesus. So if our works are nothing on top of producing death
then how can someone think your works can also retain your salvation? It’s illogical.Salvation produces fruit because Jesus within you produces fruit.


John 6:28-29 CSB
[28] "What can we do to perform the works of God?" they asked. [29] Jesus replied, "This is the work of God-that you believe in the one he has sent."

Faith without works is dead because you must have faith to do the work of God which is to believe. The works of God can only come from God and can only be done and evident in you when you what?....believe in Jesus.


Fruit is evidence of salvation and is nothing we can do on our own. I noticed something:

The carnal mind reads God’s Word to Keep His commandments as a work to be saved. Only arrogance and pride thinks they can perform works of the flesh that can only produce death and think that it can produce life (salvation) and maintain life (working to maintain salvation). In a way they are selfish because they don’t want God they want Heaven. They don’t want righteousness they want security, comfort, and everything that comes from God. They are like the people who don’t appreciate the person in a relationship but they just want the things that person does for them and they believe that if they perform works and do nice things in the relationship then the other person “owes” them in return. This is why works of the flesh will never produce or maintain salvation. It is a form of selfish blackmail and manipulation to get something from God instead of wanting God. This is another reason why I explain to a lot of guys that being a “nice guy” is manipulative and evil because they only are nice and do nice things (works) to win you over and to manipulate your decision to choose them when in reality they don’t respect your boundaries or preferences and only are nice to get something in return. This is not love.

But to someone who believed on the name of Jesus they read in God’s Word, Keep His commandments as an act of obedience because they love God and love righteousness. They aren’t working to maintain a salvation because they already know and believe that salvation is eternal and given to the one who believes in Jesus. To believe in someone literally means you will obey, follow, trust in them. They Keep Jesus commandments because they trust in everything He says, He has life which is what a believer wants, He is the truth which a believer knows and believes, and we obey Jesus because we love Him and want to please Him out of being so grateful and blessed that the Father chose us and saved us even when we did not think we needed to be saved. We obey Jesus because we want life and want to live righteously and love the truth and hate wickedness. You will never have to force a believer to do anything right or good because they already want to live that way and do not do so for points or for bragging rights but because it is the only way of life they choose to live. When you are in love with someone do you keep tabs or count how often you do good for them to ensure they believe you or do you just serve them just because it is a pleasure and there is no other person you want to be in love with? The latter is how a believer is with Jesus. They know the works in them is not of their own but the Holy Spirit in them that also teaches them while He uses them to reach others. They have given up their body daily so that the works of God is evident in their lives and so they could be used by God. Heaven is not the main focus or destination, serving God and pleasing Him is the main focus. Heaven is nothing without God whereas the carnal minded only want Heaven because they don’t want to be punished in hell and they can give two cents about what God wants. Something people do not realize is that you can only fear punishment and fear your security as far as going to heaven is concerned if you are still in the wrath of God. The Holy Spirit that lives within you when you believe will be your witness and you will not fear death or fear your salvation when you have the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says that eternal life is in Christ.

1 John 5:11-12 says

11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

The Bible says that Jesus is eternal life.

1 John 5:20 says

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

The Bible says that eternal life is to KNOW the Father and Jesus.

John 17:3 says

And this is life eternal, that they might KNOW thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

How are we able to know that we KNOW the Father and Jesus?

1 John 2:3-4 says

3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

So, in order to have eternal life in Christ, we must KNOW the Father and Jesus. That is done if we keep the commandments of Jesus. And the Bible clearly tells us that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments is a LIAR!! Plain and simple.
