Was thinking about this in relation to the mark of the beast... would the person saved at the door but going back to their life of rebellion not interested in the things of the Lord just the free gift of grace, would they be likely to take the MOTB? Would that be a decision they would be aware to not make even if they decide to continue in rebellion?

Everything in this video is based on complete ignorance of Calvinism. A Calvinist would tell that person he needs to repent and put their trust in Christ. If years later, he continues living in sin, he didn't truly repent or truly believe. 1 John 2:19

Justification is a work of God the Father and the Holy Spirit in us and without us. Justification and faith do not have a sequence in time but in order Faith- Justification but are simultaneously in time. Sanctification is a work of The Holy Spirit in us but not without us. There is a general working of the Holy Spirit in the hearing of the Word that convicts and precedes faith but not always leads to salvation. See the parable of the sower. The plow is needed to make the soil good to receive the seed. Conviction is a work of the Holy Spirit and without no-one will come to Christ. Never lost is never saved. Jesus came to save the lost.

Sounds like the man ran into an uninformed Calvinist. That’s not at all what majority of Calvinists believe. They believe in righteousness by faith in Christ. Granted, that righteousness is not something we can earn, desire, or even attain apart from the Lord’s intervention on our behalf. True Calvinists won’t flaunt to everyone that they’re a Calvinist, rather they’ll give clear and concise theological truths and doctrines of the Christian faith that line up and are founded in the Bible. Calvin was just a man who expositionally taught the Scriptures and loved the revelation of God. Thus, to say that Calvinism is heretical is wrong, but for one to say that they don’t agree is okay, but he/she should be able to give clear and irrefutable proof of why they’re wrong. We don’t want to throw out the baby with the bath water.
