My name is John Degasperis, I am a trial lawyer. My office is based out of Kingston, New York. I represent injured people. I probably represented more than 1500 injured clients over the course of my career. I understand how insurance companies work. I understand how the court system works and how to persuade juries.

Thank you for coming to my Youtube Channel. Please like and subscribe for my informative videos. If you have any legal question at all, personal injury or otherwise, please do not hesitate to contact me, I love helping people.

Most of my cases are handled within the Hudson Valley although I do handle cases all over the state and throughout the country. I pride myself on my availability and I live and I breathe this work. When a client hires me I become obsessed with their story. I become obsessed with their case. My singular objective is to do well by them and to put them into a better place than when I found them. I know that being a lawyer requires empathy. I am a sounding board for people in their darkest hours and I become their voice. I am their advocate within a system that may not have their best interest at heart. A successful resolution is when a personal injury client feels as if the system worked and that I brought them to a place in the Civil Justice System, that gave them an opportunity to be made whole again. #shorts

Insurance Companys should have to pay twice as if the falsely deny claims.

This is why the average guy loses it. Shit like this.

I use to work for State Farm. They would promise fat bonuses for anyone that could figure out a way to deny claims. It made me sick. I only worked there less than a year. They pay shit wages to the claims department, I can tell you that. Insurance companies in general have been a huge part of what's killed the American dream. All of them. They've ruined our medical fields too. They've turned most doctors into greedy money-hungry bastards.

If a consumer falsely files a claim it's called insurance fraud and they go to jail, but when an insurance company lies on a claim nothing happens to them which is bullshit. Somebody needs to be held liable in the same manner as a Consumer would be and at the very minimum the Consumer should be awarded some sort of compensation above and beyond the amount of the claim.

My lawyer friend told me to get a lawyer if you ever are involved with State Farm. Turns out Jake is a hostage and he wears kakis to hide the beating marks

State Farm denied my claim for weather damage to my roof. They said the roof was to old and refused to pay anything. I figured OK whatever and replaced the roof with no help from State Farm. Then about 2 months after I replaced the roof they sent me a letter saying they were dropping my home owners insurance. The only reason they would have cancelled it is because they knew if there were any future claims they wouldnt be able to claim the roof was too old and they would have to pay for any future claims. I was with State Farm my whole life my parents had State Farm and I am in my 50s and that is how they treated a life time customer.

I had a SF customer run a stop sign. Broke my Knee in the crash. SF called my neighbors to see if I was on crutches and what they knew about my crash. I decided right then to sue them for every penny I could and I did !

I had a minor accident over a decade ago and had Progressive, the other driver had Farmers. Settled in six months, easy peasy.
THREE ABS A HALF YEARS AGO I was in the back seat of my parents car, the day my grandpa died, and this old woman ran a stop light and T-boned us. Both parties have State Farm. I finished PT and pain treatment in 18 months. $200+ THOUSAND in medical bills, and my lawyer messaged me recently saying they are trying to claim 95% of my injuries were from a minor accident I had over a decade ago. My medical bills then were only like 10K!
State Farm is the WORST!

They didn't know she had a lawyer. How many people do they do this to that can't afford a lawyer and State farm gets away with it?

I'm just a roofing contractor, but state farm is notorious for not paying out for roof replacements

My uncle was a State Farm customer for 20-30 years, definitely my whole life at least. This last year he had to file 3 separate claims for different incidents, with the last one being a replacement of his cracked front window on his car.

After the third claim, State Farm called him to tell him he was no longer covered by them. So, despite the fact that he 100% paid more into the State Farm system over the years, more than enough to cover what he needed to replace everything for these 3 claims, they still kicked him out because he got a little too pricey.

Corporations don’t care how long you’ve been with them. There is no loyalty. There is no empathy. Don’t expect any.

Yep. Was rear-ended years ago by an elderly lady, we both had state farm. They assigned us the same claim adjuster who told me to file a claim under my plan instead of hers, go to the doctor and then they would reimburse me. And they tried saying they heard I was the one who hit her. Hired a lawyer and they ended up paying 3x as much as they would have if they had just paid for my medical and car damage in the first place. 🙄

My grandparents had State Farm for over 50 years. They never missed a payment, and never filed a single claim. Then, someone rear ended their car, and the other driver didn't have insurance. The damage was pretty minimal and only cost $800 to fix. State farm sent a check to them for the amount, then dropped them as customers. After 50 years!!!

State Farm isn't the only insurance company who does this.

State Farm did the same to me when someone pulled out in front of me with a trailer and said I didn’t take enough evasive maneuvers. Like they were there and witnessed it

I remember when AllState recorded the flooded homes from Hurricane Sandy for their commercial while denying the same victims which homes were recorded in that commercial for flood insurance.
