In fairness, I'm a 15 year Farmers Agent so keep that in mind. While I don't think this video is bad, I do think it's mistitled. It should be State Farm vs Farmers Insurance, which is CHEAPER. I often tell prospects that I don't sell a policy or a price. I do sell a promise and I have found Farmers Insurance is much better at fulfilling that promise than State Farm. Just my two cents.

Have had Farmers since 2013, auto and home. Have a great agent, very helpful and attentive. Auto rates have always been good until my last renewal, more on that in a sec. Home rates are just average to a little high, but i like to keep just one company so I have stuck with them. On the auto rates at last renewal I had a substantial increase. Had a conversation with my agent about the change and he had a fantastic option available. Turns out that Farmers has another underwriter available now, Economy Fire and Casualty Company, that he could quote me a auto policy on, still a Farmers company. It was a great option, instead of my premium, ( on 6 vehicles ) going up about 35% with this new quote my premium went down about 20%. Same coverage amounts and deductibles 100/300, un/under, med., 100 comp, 500 coll. etc. good coverage and also gained roadside assist and towing. He and I were both pleased with this new option. Anyhow, sorry for the long post, just thought you might find it interesting and just one more curve to navigate in the insurance quote game.

I went into 2 different farmers insurance office and let me tell you I was so impressed by the cleanliness and warmth of the was like man how can I work here???? I didn't want to leave the office. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. At the 2nd office one of the ladies pastor was there....he witnessed to me and hugged me and told me of the young agent accepting christ in the office. At first I was like what is happening right now...I just came in for a it was actually really nice and sweet. He asked if I knew Jesus as my lord and savior and I said yes. But anyway I say all that to say they totally rock and are very sweet and genuine ppl. I would love to work there. This was in Arlington texas

Farmers is the best cuz farmers give good results if you have a clam but St farm always looking for some argument to not pay for a claim it’s sad but St Farm is done is not the insurance that was 2 years ago..

Farmers for 15 years. Not sure where my auto was, but it has always been roughly $1500 a yr. Just picked up State Farm. $900. Farmers started out at 1500 on homeowners. Last policy was 7500. State Farm just gave me 1700. Will I see the creep back up to 7K plus?

We switched from Gieco and found that State Farm is as high or higher. We're both good drivers, I've never had a ticket. I'm 78. My husband, maybe a couple in his lifetime for speeding, he's 80. Prices are ridiculous.

Think of it in terms of market share.
10 years ago Farmers was the 3rd largest insurance company in the US. They were number 3 for decades when they only operated in 28 states.
Today, they are number 8 in the US and dropping.
State Farm for decades had been number one and is still number one.
It’s not about the cheapest price, if that was the only measure then you can always find cheaper.
State Farm are better trained, better staffed and have well trained customer service 24 hours a day.

Would love to see your unlike button count. You can’t compare a company by their prices department of insurance plays a huge roll on the state level. You might as well throw Geico in the mix and say they have the best price. You have to look at value. Maybe compare the agent compensation or company as a whole.

If you have an accident and the other driver is at fault and has Farmers Insurance, Good Luck getting the Driver or State Farm to admit fault. Even a police report is like a piece of toilet paper to them if it's not in their favor. They refuse to pay out when their driver is at fault. Total unethical company. 3 people I know got hit buy people with farmers and all 3 had to go through their own insurance company to get the damages fixed. They stall and waist your time.

Farmers has better agents, State Farm has a better claims dept. I'll stick with State Farm.
