I was with state farm for 10+ years, they were gonna jack my rate up by 40 bucks for car insurance on 1 car. So my insurance would have been 210 for a 2016 suv....yes a 7 year old basic car. I switched to usaa and saved $80. With that savings I was able to buy a 250k life insurance policy for $28 from state farm, and also some aflac critical care insurance, cancer care insurance and disability insurance....so not only did I save money on car insurance, I was able to insure myself better against losses to income if I become sick or disabled or get cancer and make sure my family gets a nice payout should I die. Thanks usaa. It was the best decision I could ever make

Coming from Geico, Progressive, currently with State Farm and one vehicle now with USAA, USAA was cheaper by $24 a mo compared to State Farm for that particular vehicle. I will be switching the other 2 cars once my policy expires with State Farm.

I've been with USAA a very long time. They have the better auto insurance rate than State Farm or CSAA. USAA also share profit distribution annually, so basically members are getting a good refund usually in December. State Farm and CSAA just increased their premiums on both auto and property insurance. USAA is better, but you have to be a veteran or active military members to join. It started as officers only admission but now is open to all ranks. Immediate family members of service members can get their own policies.

I had State Farm for Auto Insurance, decades ago. But, Geico and Progressive were way more reasonable. USAA’s driving App took points away for listening to music, making and taking calls, and for any internet cellular interaction on my cellphone. If I braked beyond a light tap, I would get a “Harsh Braking “ warning. The USAA Safe Pilot App is hard to update also. The USAA tech told me that I needed to restart my cellphone way more frequently. It didn’t help the lack of the App’s accuracy, when trips were made either. I

USAA was $800.00 more to insure two cars than GEICO was per year. I had State Farm for over 30 years and switched to GEICO. For two cars, State Farm tried to do a 60 percent rate increase with a clean driving record so I switched to GEICO. State Farm was trying to get rid of me because I had the lowest rate, and loyalty discount given to their policy holders who had a policy for a number of years.

I just switched to USAA ^--^ I had Fred Loya and they were rated the worst, I had to switch!

I'm a veteran and have been with USAA for 26 years. Haven't had a driving ticket in years and have never submitted a claim for home in over 14 years. My car was backed into a few days ago and USAA took care of me. However, their rates have went up ridiculously high. $293 a month for 2 vehicles full coverage and $2600 annually on my home. My mortgage increased because they raised their premiums on me by $1200 and which amounted into an Escro Shortage. State Farm is offering similar coverage for $195 a month for auto (2 Cars) and $1369 Annually for Home Owners Insurance. USAA is about to get dropped like a hot potato. They can sell their snake oil elsewhere.

I had State Farm for over 25 years, with one claim for home insurance. No Auto claims. When we added my granddaughter as a driver, I expected no problems and there were none until we attempted to file a claim for her. Denied. Nasty response from the agency in Fayetteville, Georgia that had received thousands of dollars in premiums from me over the years. I dropped them, of course. I would not touch State Farm with a 10000-mile pole.

I'm not sold on this program.. I stopped my truck to make a call. put the truck in park and left the motor running. I got a infraction. Why???? I thought that would be a good thing!! One time I did the same thing.. Stopped and made a call but this time they did not ping me for it. What's the story. There is not a standard . Why not, ? Do they check to see that my seat belt is fastened? Do they pop you for keeping up with the traffic around you? Some people drive like A$$holes . If you drive the speed limit > You get run over. if you exceed the speed limit> You are breaking the law. how much stuff do they use to decide if you get the discount? they only have four things that they say they base it on. Is that all? Or is there other things that they are not telling you? Has anyone you know that has gotten a full 30%. I have gotten 11%. and with no infractions dropped to 8%. Also they said to me they cannot fix it or change it if you tell them what happened. Some things you can not avoid> Like A$$holes on the road. They need to be a lot more forgiving if you ask me. I know that if you drive the speed limit>> You get run over and if you speed>> You are breaking the law. (LIKE EVERYONE ELSE). I just don't know right now.

Neither one is good based on too many commercials with Jamar from State Farm and USAA has too many African-American commercials.
