I think they should replace Jakes every single ad, creating the impression that everyone who works at state farm is named Jake

I just wish that he was "Kevin from state farm". It would have felt like Jake was passing the torch to his successor instead of his replacement.

"consumers will see jake in culturally relevant moments, we use a fresh, updated voice, tapping into things that are contextually relevant with our audiences" is that their way of saying they wanted a black guy

Jake's cameo is awesome tho lmfao. Like he's litteraly still just playing himself. "Do they ever ask what you're wearing" Jake was just honest "uhh yeh"

It's just how he said "Uh, khakis" made it iconic

The newer jake just isn’t cutting it. Jake isn’t supposed to be some perfect guy who is always being thanked for deals

If they just called him "Kevin from State Farm" I would've been happy.

I worked for State Farm when they started the new Jake commercials. They made a video of old Jake meeting new Jake/Kevin to kind of pass the torch. Old Jake has a family and is happy with his regular career so didn't want to do the commercials since it would require travel/new schedule so they decided to hire an actor who would be more willing/able to do the ad campaign. I do agree they should have done the cameo commercial and passed the torch to KEVIN instead of naming him Jake. Even at State Farm conventions when he is present, people always call him his real name or hop between calling him Jake or Kevin in the same sentence and it's a little odd lol. They also could've gone with an employee who has acting talent and interested in the role to keep that sense of authenticity of someone who really worked there. But I get why they ended up choosing an actor.

“consumers will see Jake in culturally relevant moments, being his usual helpful self, ” “We use a fresh, updated voice, tapping into things that are conextually relevant with our audiences” is just a formal way of saying they want a hot dude that isn’t white to play the role

can you imagine calling the state farm call center during the time jake was employed and actually hearing his voice on the other end?

Imagine being flown all the way from Illinois, to cali, just to say uh khakis and then leave LMAOOO

I'm actually more upset they just reused the customer interaction. Like, who TF calls StateFarm 9 years later with the same distrust. That's just a toxic AF relationship and I'm surprised the husband didn't leave his jealous wife yet.

The fact the bar hung his pants up is fucking hilarious

The appeal of the OG Jake was him being an Average Joe.

The fact that Jake's real name was Jake and he was just an average dude, makes him fit so well for the character he plays

I'll never forget the middle school kid I saw walking down the street in a perfect Jake costume on Halloween. I hope he's doing well.

I've used raycons a few times myself, and while they are decent wireless earphones, the ones I used never lasted super long before the left earbud would start messing up, being hard to hear and eventually I stopped using them. This may be unique to me, but they're not my go to brand
