These charming spots spawned a catchphrase ("Uh, khakis?") and even lured some famous guest stars, like SNL's The Coneheads.

In 2020, State Farm rebooted the "Jake From State Farm" spots, recasting the original Jake. The new ads have also been a big hit, and have featured big stars like Paul Rudd and Drake. But what about the OG Jake? Here's what happened to the original Jake from State Farm.

All the commercials that follow the original just go to show how clueless the ad agency was about why the commercial was so funny in the first place. It wasn't the line, "what are you wearing Jake from State Farm", it was the wife's response "well she sounds hideous, " and her her husband's comeback "well, she's a guy, so" that made it a classic. The focus on what Jake was wearing made the other commercials just dumb.

Don't let Jake fool you about State Farm. As a long time policy holder of State Farm, State Farm spends considerable effect to contest or find fault with claims. Don't ever think that they have good faith or an honorable organization.

This is sad. The original Jake was friends with my brother in Bloomington, IL and his mom was my 5th grade teacher at colene hoose elementary. Hope they take care of him.
