I suffer from back pain and when I used to do a glute bridge there were 0 activation in the glutes. So this is real

Also look at the difference in knee flexion at the start of the movement before and after.

Before (with pain) his knees were less bent and knees were behind his arms very slightly.

After (without pain) his knees were a little bit past his arms.

More bent knee means less hamstring stretch so less tension for the same weight.
