About the Holderness Family
The Holderness Family creates original music, parodies, and Vlogs for YouTube to poke fun of themselves and celebrate the absurdity in circumstances most families face in their day to day life. They published "Christmas Jammies" in December 2013 and life hasn't been the same. Since then, their popular parodies, "All About That Baste", "Baby Got Class," and original music "Snow Day" have received national news coverage. Penn, the Dad, took a chance and left his job as a news anchor to join his wife Kim, the Mom, at their video production and digital marketing company, Greenroom Communications, LLC. Lola and Penn Charles are always happy, respectful and eat all of their vegetables (that last sentence is a lie). Penn, Kim, Lola, and Penn Charles publish music videos, Vlogs and special YouTube challenges to this channel every weekday. Our viewers have become our family and we try our best to respond to comments, suggestions and special requests! Subscribe to be part of this crazy family! Thanks for being here.

😂😂😂 @ Penn leaving the drawer open, saying "there's nothing else he can do at that point" and Kim standing with arms outstretched infront of the open garage door! Y'all are nuts.

I'll setup a close-a-thon in Florida to raise awareness.

My wife doesn't like to close containers. I think she just wants all things to be free...to spill.

When I was about eight, my mother decided to refinish the cabinets in the kitchen. She took all the doors off, and... Well, when I left home, age 21, the cabinet doors were still outside in the shed, waiting to be stripped. So I grew up in a house with no cabinet doors. As a result, I NEVER think to close . . . IT'S NOT MY FAULT, DAMMIT! IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

My wife definitely has this. Especially in the kitchen. I'm always smacking my head on inexplicably open cabinets.

This was funny. Thank you for coming up with a name for this epidemic, as my husband suffers with an STD as well. It's nice to know there are others out there that share my pain.😂

this is PERFECT! do more like this. We need more spoofs on the drama overkill (from cultural trauma fixation)! Laughter and silliness seem to be going extinct, but everything needs a balance... Your music videos are my favorites ...

Oh my goodness - this is hysterical. Penn - Dave would say I'm the one with the STD syndrome in our house. :( (pantry door, make up drawers, laundry door - I could go on!)

I am glad to know we do not have to suffer alone. This is something so many wife's feel uncomfortable talking about. You are so brave to start this discussion. My husband has this and LOL....leaving on lights, syndrome. I feel my days are spent turning off every light in the house over and over again. And what is worse, is I believe this condition has been passed down to our 5 year old son :'-( I am holding out hope he is still young enough we can find a cure!!! Good luck to you and yours.

I love how clever your parodies are and how truthful all your ADHD content is. My husband and son are off the scale with ADHD and watching your videos, I have cried because I laughed so hard! STD & ADHD are definitely related!!! I have pictures from Christmas with bruises to prove the STD problem. My husband took vacation from work at Christmas and went to bed later than me. He left the bedroom closet door partway open. I didn't want to wake him when I had to get up in the morning, so I rummaged around in the dark and ran right into the door. I had a big ugly bruise on my forehead in all our Christmas pictures. I'd like to say that solved it but .... NOPE! Still married 20+ years -without too many scars! Keep the fun content coming.

Oh my goodness. This is the best. My husband has this STD, inherited from his mom. When my dear MIL comes over it is all cabinets open all the time! This video holds up over time. I've watched it a bunch and is still funny...and true...and funny. So good.

I have difficulty with spatial awareness. I have walked into the cupboard door (and much more) because it was left open. The struggle is real. Thanks for spotlighting this issue and bringing me some closure! :)
