A few days back in therapy, I was crying.
My therapist said: "Is there anything you would really like to do now?"
I answered "Yoga", and she told me to think about yoga for a moment.
So I thought about yoga, where I usually practice it, my mat, the feeling I get on my mat, while taking a few deep breaths. In just these few seconds, I felt so much calmer.
"Your dedication to yoga has paid off", she then said smiling. "Can you tell? You don't even need to do it, just thinking about it is grounding you now."

I think this is what Adriene means when she says that yoga can help you on the mat and off the mat.
Thank you Adriene. For everything. ♡

I'm in my room, last room I will ever have that's singled out. I've paid all my debts now and I'm free. My last day as a waitress, last day at work, and last night at this staff accommodation. I'm leaving tomorrow, for good. Healed old wounds through the practice of self love. It's safe. I'm safe. All is well and I'm deserving of goodness. Beautiful me emerging from the depths of debt. ☺️💕💡

I was so hesitant to do such a long practice. This was gentle with a little bit of work. Thank you to all who wrote that it was worthwhile. We are definitely a community.

I was practicing at home with my mat underneath a window. We had thunderstorms all night and it has been rainy all morning. At the end of the practice, when you told us to send love to someone, the sun came blazing through my window suddenly, so bright and warm. To the person that sent me love, thank you, I received it.

Last time I did this yoga practice, was on my 365th day of doing yoga. Now I'm doing this practice on my one year, 104th day of doing daily yoga. I can't believe I've kept up, with doing it for so long. Thank you so much Adriene, for giving me this wonderful gift of yoga, and helping me on my journey to self love. Self love isn't always easy, but it is something I am working on more, and more these days. I found this practice so much easier to do this time, which also shows me how far I've come. How much stronger physically, and mentally I've grown. Thank you again Adriene, you are awesome. See you again tomorrow, Namaste. 🙏 🧡🧘‍♀️

I usually shy away from long practices because I always feel like I'm not strong enough/don't have enough endurance etc. Today I thought, what the hell, just give it a go, you can always stop if it gets too much. I made it all the way through and it was my favourite practice in months. Haven't felt this good in forever! No more skipping the long stuff for me!
PS: I did this in my room facing the wall I painted with chalk paint and wrote down some lines of one of my favourite poems by Mary Oliver: "...finally I saw that worrying had come to nothing, / and gave it up. And took my old body / and went out into the morning and sang."

Admire Day 25
Yoga in my gym/garage… I almost skipped this practice because of the length. Fifty minutes later, here I am on this beautiful Sunday morning, feeling strong, refreshed, and proud! 🧘🏽‍♀️💪🏽

February 2024 Admire Day 25 ❤ I'm noticing that I'm becoming more forgiving towards myself and that my physical body is getting stronger. I welcomed every pose in this session without negativity, I even smiled a couple of times. I've come a long way. Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday. Namaste.

This is one of the best 💖🧘🏾‍♀️practices on self love i'm always very passionate and happy to come back to. The authentic, soothing gentleness approach and rocking up and down to my spine leaves me feeling so good, 💝👌🏾 inhaling lots of love in and out more energetic and soul fulfilling. Don't be put off yogi buddies of how lengthy this is, time flies by when you are in depth here however your pace is, give it a go. Here 4th time and i enjoyed it as alway😄💖💞🧘🏾‍♀️Strongly done on these days:

I wasn’t sure whether I could do (wanted to do) this practice because of its length. 50 minutes later here I am, early on a Sunday morning, feeling refreshed and proud! Thank you Adriene and thank you to this community!!

self love is not always easy. i chose to do this practice after an 8 hour shift on my feet and finished past midnight. i promised myself i would do these daily, and i am, and to be the kind of person who shows up for myself like that is invaluable. i feel like i am carving a new "groove" as someone who has always struggled to be motivated.

I'm in my living room watching out of the window, squirrel is eating sunflower seeds from our bird feeder. I let out amazed wow when we do different transition to warrior 2. I lie down and think to myself how I needed this practice and how much I love myself and this community and just then my cat walks right up to me, purrs and gives me a little kiss and lies down with me. There I am, filled with love an joy, almost crying 'cause it feels so good ❤
