Can't wait to get back at it after the holidays. 😊 I've been only doing yoga for 40-50 minutes in the morning during winter. I’m so glad I saw this! I have on and off SI joint problems so now I know not to do this. And I notice a lot of squats require your lower back to be straight which is great since I have osteoporosis but still need to keep building muscle in my core and legs

Thank you for explaining this. I do struggle with my sciatic nerves. I damaged it a few years ago. So i do exercises to stay strong. But if it ever acts up, I'll be sure to skip this.

Yes always listen to your body. There are thousands of excercises, there's no need to keep doing something that hurts.

I think split sqauts really help if you have issues with your si due to an under activated glute. So basically once you can do some pain free they are a great add in

Always always always warm up before doing squats. No matter how young you are or how fit.
Start with mini squats, then gradually increase the dip with each set. You will surprise yourself with how easy they become.
