'UK Budget 2023: The Main Points'

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has used a £25-billion-a-year improvement in public finances to expand access to childcare and offer tax breaks to businesses and wealthy pensioners.

The 2023 Budget is aimed at increasing the numbers of people in work.

However, the size of the UK economy is still expected to shrink this year and living standards are the worst on record.

Report by Iain Jones.

Idk why people think capping energy at £2500 per year is a bonus. Not to long ago I wasn't paying no more than £600 per year. Now I gotta pay £1900 more and I'm supposed to be great full. Have people forgotten what they were paying

It does not really matter who is in power....the opposition always seem to have all of the answers and all of the solutions! ....but when elected they are just as clueless as each other! ...But both sides get rich regardless and show complete contempt for us!

Independence is always better than dependence...

OK Mr. Government I never voted for, and the government no one wants. Step aside while you still have a little bit of dignity!

Even when he smiles, I want to replace the 'H' in his surname with a 'C'. These people make me sick to my stomach, they really do.

Small, though significant carrots promoted, the deeper hidden agenda hidden. Nothing unusual. I am of pension age, and candidly I miss the 1980s where what I earned, ca £10, 000 a year, covered a lot more than now, despite my earning over £40, 000 a year. We are getting poorer, and I do not know why.

we've all had a pretty grim year says chancellor, whose boss Rishi Sunak just paid to upgrade the electricity grid in his North Yorkshire constituency to power his new heated swimming pool.
We feel your pain Rishi - The struggle is real.

Recession is when your next door neighbour loses their job, depression is when you lose yours.
