Budget 2023: Will it change the UK economy?

A budget for jobs, for childcare, for pensions and growth - that was the Chancellor's message at least, as he put forward plans which he said would help working families and households struggling with bills.

But figures show the UK economy is still set to shrink by 0.2% this year, while Labour accused the Tories of effectively handing a tax cut to the highest earners, while trying to pass off stagnation as stability.

They boast freezing the fuel cap yet its frozen at a rate which is way too high. The Tories are still ignoring the big issues facing people unable to afford heating/food.

If you want more workers then sort out entry level jobs. Zero hour contracts across the country. Minimum wage working as a "this is what you can get away with" for big corps. No business turning over more than 1 million in profit each year should be paying ANY of their staff CLOSE TO minimum wage. These are the issues that implicate our economy and also the amount of people willing to work. Some people are genuinely better off on benefeits.

Any positive within this budget could've been resolved over 12 years in charge. I'm convinced this party keep a hold onto certain policies to use them when they need some good rep. That's genuinely how I think they operate. We only have to look at Matt's handlers in the leaked messages to know what these politicians are really like.
