I think the Traveler still fulfilled the prophecy because they aren’t strong enough to fight the fate of the world even if they aren’t bound by it. I don’t personally think the prophecy planned for the Narwhal, that just happened to be the way the prophecy took effect. If it hadn’t appeared, the prophecy would have still happened just differently. Everyone around the Traveler is still bound by the prophecy, so the Traveler doesn’t have much choice but to go along with it.

To me, it is humans wanting more instead of just being content. An Utopia society is always better than any dystopian of any kind. I would rather live in an actual utopia rather than experiencing stupid shit. I despise experiencing asthma, actual shit people and corrupt government for greed.

I think this all comes from a misunderstanding of what prophecy is. A prophecy is seeing the future. Seeing the choices people make with their free will and the consequences and affects that come with it. Of course in genshin it could work differently but from what Ive seen with the Fontaine quest. The only thing that is predetermined is the outcome and affects but what happens that leads to that outcome is determined by what people freely choose to do. So free will does exist but celestia can determine the outcome and affects those choices have
